"Foreign Affair" is a pop song written by Maggie Reilly and Mike Oldfield, which first appeared on Oldfield's 1983 album Crises.
On "Foreign Affair" Oldfield plays a Fairlight CMI and Roland Strings. Maggie Reilly provides vocals, and the co-producer, Simon Phillips plays Tama Drums and a Shaker. Oldfield performed the song on tour extensively in the 1980s. The song has since been featured on compilations such as The Platinum Collection, Collection, Elements Boxset and Elements - The Best of Mike Oldfield.

I think of mu father every time i hear this song. When i was a kid he was a truckdriver, he used to listen to mike oldfield alot. Now he had several strokes and is no longer him self. He's very introverted and depressed and on the edge of senility. Only 60 years old. When this song comes on i crie. When he hears this song he cries. Then he lightens up and a glimps of his real personality cimes back to life. How music can leave such emeotions. Musik is the best brainfood.

@@marianekbollo5572 a ja sobie dzisiaj przypomniałem: 5 miles out, moonlight shadow, no i ten tu... max! nie tylko to, że miałem 14 lat... do dzisiaj najlepsze piosenki w radio /i to w opini wszystkich kochających muzykę/ pochodzą z 1980-1990 (no i oczywiście klasyka lat 1960 i 1970...) Dla np 80% ludzi zatrudnionych u mnie w firmie, tamta muzyka jest najlepsza do pracy, na codzień. Wspólczesne 'hity z blach i plastiku to chyba jest jakiś pastisz muzyki jako takiej?) Pozdrawiam (nie na darmo moje córki lubią - jedna np Marleya, a druga Joy Division)... Nie ma lipy, albo (jak mawiał mój nauczyciel muzyki: grania o siedmiu zbójach)
