I am a disabled person from Romania, and I remember my very first therapist playing this lively little tune for me when I was like 3. Years later, I found it during a particularly dark period of my life and my smile returned instantly.

This for me is THE Christmas song! I remember as a kid this playing in the background while we opened our presents. I get a lump in my throat when I play this tune. Awesome piece of music.

For those who are interested, Mike is playing the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, synthesiser and tambourine parts. Les Penning is playing the wind instruments (two recorders and a kortholt) and William Murray is playing the snare drum.

Such a fabulous musician, is there anyone even remotely close these days?! Back in the day, Britain was a fantastic place.

I used to work at Wilkinsons and it used to come on the speakers during the Christmas period. One of the guys that worked nights, said whenever he heard it he imagined the entire shop staff dancing around a Christmas tree with one of the seriously less able team members sat below the tree eating a raw turkey with his hands

I had a dream last night that Mike Oldfield was playing for a festival audience, and we all started chanting this tune (do do doo) to get him to play it. He was not pleased at all.

My mum would play this at Christmas time and as a child I'd dance around our christmas tree. This was my first memory of Christmas and it will stick with me until I die.

When I told my mom about this 'newly' discovered song a couple of years ago, her answer couldn't be more surprising. Apparently when I was about 4 years old, any time Il Dulci Jubilo played, we danced around the table with cloths in our hands. Waving and skipping 'till the song ended. Haven't stopped listening since. A magical song! With a memory I never knew about.
