i am going to give mike props for his own technique on things and his ability to really blur the notes if you would..but i love the adrenaline mob..great band and this is great too..but i never thought i would ever come across a guitar player that used the wah pedal more than kirk hammit and the way that it was driving his amp's front end at times sounded like it was going to explode at any second..just the shear noise and what it made his pick attack sound like..pretty much cant get anymore in your face than that..mike is a maniac and his technique of realy digging the pick on those up strokes to alter the pick attack you would normally get if you did not really get that pick into it and used a more casual up stroke.realy augments the notes so that when he does his patterns and runs..it really separates the notes in a cool way..aggressive down stroke.chicken picked up stroke at hyper speed...his band is just lit as well.that drummer and bass player were just driving it home for him to shred over.plus he has one of the best rock faces in the game .he really gets into it..but unfortunately his sound and style get very repetitive and so not an all the time listen for me.but if im in the mood for something that sounds like the amp is going to explode at any second..well, i can always rely on mike for that....
bloody hell, just let the man play his own style, i can´t play 5% of what he plays and i bet my life that you can´t either, so just stop this bullshit of saying "oh he uses too much wah, oh he plays too fast", he is the one playing, not you. so i suggest you make a vídeo playing better than him and i´ll shut my fucking fingers, otherwise fuck off
Someone: "Dude, you won't be able to play anything with that technique, everything is shaking, you put too much power in it, it's all over the place ..." Mike: "Yeah I'll just be super accurate and preserve all the power and hit all the notes and mute all unneeded shit ..." O________o
Muitos haterzinhos de shreeders podem odiar, mas nem mesmo eles podem negar que Orlando tem estilo próprio. Isso é, além da técnica apurada, a coisa mais difícil atualmente.
Anyone who has not witnessed Mike Orlando live needs to make an effort to go to his show. He dominates a guitar effortlessly. He was such a great fit in Adrenaline Mob. Sad story.
He's playing so fast I can't even see what's happening!! Like usually you can see what's taking place no matter whether you can replicate it in real life or not - but this dude's on another level...
The guy's got some killer chops, I'll give him that. His alternate picking and tapping are quite impressive. It's amazing how Mike looks like he's about to go totally off the rails, but he somehow keeps everything sounding tight and in-check. It's like a frenzied-yet-in-control style of playing that nobody else has, so he gets major props for originality in that department.
I promoted this track on my channel around 10 years ago . Cheers . Glad to see it . I had no idea it was on RU-vid haha . Amazing as I expected . Ur picking is flawless
Now THIS is a great use of the keyboards. Many of us Americans dig the full band.....ala dream theater....etc...but the Swedes and some of the other bands put the keys SO high in the mix it turns us Americans off a little, though those bands are still incredible bands, we're just not into keys that much. Some of the AOR bands on Frontiers and such if they'd just turn the keys down a hair and use them to color the band instead of override them, they'd get more listens. Just an opinion that I know means absolutely nothing to no one :-) rock on brothers and sisters......
Check it out Mike Orlando interview where he talks about Sonic Stomp, other musical projects and his new entrance in the brazilian band Noturnall!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cuy935s5dBA.html
