@@mr0x1 yeah I've see Bas talk about dropping his head when someone sings at him in a self defense situation since the top of the head is harder and loved that advice but I didn't realise he'd said to headbutt the hands, not surprising at all though he's another beast of a man
Mike perry is fearless, there aren't a lot of MMA fighters who are genuinely fearless for their own safety. And that must be terrifying for any opponent he faces, watching him eat punches and keep walking you down like it's nothing. You can see the exact moment luke said fuck this i dont want to be in here with this maniac anymore and he mentally quit. Robbie lawler, diego sanchez, guys like that are cut from a different cloth
@@JeromePowerrr i watched Perrys BN fight with eddie alvarez amd eddie was peicing him up the whole first round and mike just kept on marching forward. Eddie clearly had the crisper boxing skills but mike just wouldnt go down. I didnt hear why eddies corner threw the towel in, i think his eye was closing or something but i think eddie also gave up or his corner decided this maniac isnt worth my fighters health
@@davidforrest5342Perry does get hit a lot, a top level striker would definitely pick him off easily, especially with gloves. He should stick to bare knuckle imo
Usually not a big fan of spliced up interviews but man you honestly did a great job with the editing. The interview, the fights, everything was good. Keep it up brother
Usually leaving the UFC for another organization is a bad move but in Perry's case it was a smart decision since it rejuvenated his career and boosted his earnings. It was a win win for Mike and BKFC.
I met mike perry the day after Freakshow (wrestling tournament) in vegas. I was in a wheelchair that day and instantly noticed him. Jean shorts, designer t-shirt and UFC snapback. Went up to him with my mother and asked for a picture, we talked to him for a little about his upcoming fight in the Apex, etc. Super cool guy, the picture we took was blurry and i told my mom it was fine but she ran me back over to him and his GF to get another and he started laughing when he saw us. Said my mom could've just called him over🤣 He's a real one. I really feel like no one can hate this man if they met him.
Yeah I never forget that fight when he just stood there and let the guy have some free shots.. Just ate this big dudes punches to his head then hit back and rocked him
I think the only man that can slow Mike Perry at this rate, is Masvidal. And I hope to f**k that's the fight we're getting at 300 after seeing the pic of White and Feldman together only days ago
The main thing holding Mike back from that status is his 7-8 record in the UFC combined with the fact Bare Knuckle isn’t nearly as talent stacked or competitive as MMA. Plus of course it being more limited than MMA in much more ways that it is freeing. He is without a doubt a savage and he will definitely be remembered as such.
He already went off the cliff in the UFC. Hes been humbled. He is humble. This is all a faux- act at this point imo. I think he knows hes the best at a sport that only .001% is in the competitive pool. I hope he doesnt fall down and just slowly retires and lives a good life. If he didnt find a career resurrection he might be dead. He was on a tough path for a minute.
@@travisgoesthere I been a fighter for 20 years pal. The fact you are attacking a stranger online because of an opinion shows me all I need to know. I know Mike. I have trained in South Florida for 20 years both boxing and mma. So go enjoy your skateboard and leave the assessments of fighting arts to men who have stepped in the ropes.
Mike Perry's one tough savage! He's already won the fight in his head when that first bell drops he comes forward believing he's invincible! That's the difference between him and everyone else! Big luv for Mike Perry 🫶🏼💥
Yeah, it's a factor in deflecting punches but also putting it on a guy. You can't get away with feather point jabs from soft hands in bare knuckle. Dudes will walk right through it because they are expecting pain to give pain. A feather soft jab isn't stopping anything. See Paulie M.
Got to have hands of stone. I remember Wanderlei I saw one of his bare knuckle fights from along time ago. Wanderlei is a very tough person even he at one point his hands were all covered in blood and him and his opponent both just could not bring themselves to hit eachother anymore as their hands were destroyed.
I'm definitely going to bring up Mike Perry whenever people talk about fighting. He's a goat in my book. Takes a special man to do bare knuckle fighting. I avoid fights on the street because of hitting somebody in the head and breaking hands. And this guy does it for a living and enjoys it. Definitely a goat in my book.
Mike Perry pound for pound in my mind is the baddest dude in combat sports. He has an extra level of pride, Mohammed Ali esque, that he isnt going to allow someone to beat him unless they incapacitate him.
this dude is the baddest mtf on the planet rigth now, and he backed it up several times, this type of mentality his on a nother level , no skills can beat that
In order for Mike Perry to be the baddass MF, he needs to make all other fighter fear him or fear of being hit by him which is a hard feat. Mike Tyson had other heavy weight fighter scared of being hit by him and even avoid fighting him. When you have George Foreman make this comment “ I don’t want to have to do anything with him, Tyson is an animal, he is called the baddest man on the planet.”
Sometimes he's doing psychotic shit like eating punches like they're fucking popcorn. Sometimes he's doing hilarious shit like getting cornered by his gf, or accidentally getting Beyonce as his walkout tune, and rolling with it. Sometimes he shows more insight than a lotta people give him credit for. Whenever Mike Perry's on screen though, I'm paying attention.
2:43 I remember live how unnatural Fury’s gloves looked on his hands. You can see his hands are way too Far back in his gloves so Wilder was basically feeling his knuckles every time.
@@CJ-fu8cmlook at how fury throws the left around 2:45 all that flop in the actual padding of the glove and his contact point seems to be where his wrist should be it’s not the first someone called him out for it it looks like fury’s fist are where the wrist should be in the glove hinting he’s bare knuckling everyone lol
It's hard to be seen as "the baddest man on the planet" when you're not a heavyweight. Dumb people will just assume that Bradley Martyn can beat you up.
So many fighter got the skill of being a skilled fighter but dont have the courage in fighting with true pain or cuts in the face, gloves prevents you to get cut if possible but it's more painful fighting with cuts being hit again.
Same, im thinking hey never heard this guy talk, seems like a good guy then yea here come the "im the greatest, best crap" an im just thinking..ugh dude theres some guy right now communicating with clacken his tongue in the Congo just wrestled a teenage silver back into submission that would just eat you..yet here sits the "world's best fighter" lol just ugh..imo the greatest fighters have always been like Fedor, just humble an tough as nails, no brag no mememe i i i,he is good but sure is nauseating hearing ppl brag so,he's good but best? Uhh yea no.
