Wow I also find it amazing how Mr. Michael Vick was basically ostracized by Earth's "humanity" and Mr. Paterno is receiving so much love and support for his "efforts". Don't get me wrong, I think dog fighting is absolutely disgusting, but come on people, we know the obvious. Tiger Wood's career basically destroyed... But screwing 8 year olds???? Paterno knew all along (if not being involved himself) what was going on with Sandusky and those children, yet he is getting a pass... Go figure.
I don't feel that Paterno was one of the most powerful people in our country but he was definitely raised to the level of God at Penn State. I agree that Paterno should have been removed; glad he was. With the level of power Paterno had, he should have made sure Sandusky was permanently removed and publicly exposed years ago but choose not to.
I simply cannot believe the support Mr. Paterno is receiving, it's mind boggling, In my opinion Paterno is just as guilty. But now I'm starting to believe that this is bigger than Sandusky, there may of been some sort of ring operation going on here. I just cannot understand for the life of me how much respect and support Mr. P is getting from the Penn State studants... "society gone wrong".

In NYC this stuff happens weekly but is reported immediately.In wetern PA it happens one time in 10 years and is not reported.(But technically was reported)Where would you rather send your kids?
We do know that abuse victims, when they get older, either act out by molesting others, sleeping around, or holding it inside and torturing themselves, a lot of times with drugs and alcohol to numb their pain. in a society where people look the other way while a crime is being committed to their fellowmen, it's a sad world. in a society where people (drug, alcohol, child pornography & prostitution lords) benefit from other people's crimes (child abuse & pedophilia), it's a mad world.

When a kid came home with wet hair, mom asked why it was wet and he said he showered with Sandusky and that Sandusky soaped him up. Mom called campus police, they told her to call Sandusky and they'd listen in. Mom called Sandusky and tried to make him promise to never do it again. He said he was sorry but that he could not make that promise. He didn't even lie!! They guy was sick and needed help!!

are we certain that Paturno called these people to inform them of these activities going on within the football department or is this alleged reporting these things merely late add ons to whitewash and cover for Paturno. Certainly Paturno had the option to fire Sandusky...right? which is what he should have done.

victim 5 is 22. i'm 22 i can't even fucking imagine the horror of being 6 years old and being raped and/or molested by a grown man. i feel bad for the victims.
Joe Pa was one of the top 3 most powerful people in the state, I think that makes him pretty powerful country wise, one word from Joe and Sandusky would never see that campus again. He was clearly one of the more powerful people in the country, Rest His Soul.
They should do a clean sweep and get rid of ALL of them front the president of the university all the way down to the coaching staff. That is the only way that can get rid of this black man on this situation and it's going to take YEARS to wipe this digusting memory out of people minds about Penn State football. Yeah - when I see an adult having sex with a child in the showers...my first reaction is not to 1) go in there and say "what the fuck is going on" and then 2) call the police within 30 seconds. My first reaction is to go to Joe Paterno to see how he wants to handle it and to see if he wants to hush it up! The guy who witnessed this crime and did that should hang his head in shame.
@TheTamtam76 - I wouldn't be surprised. He has a history of covering his own ass, just like he did with that Sandusky case. You're right that he might just be playing the Pity Card to keep law enforcement from hemming him up for criminal negligence.

@pman1031 fight or flight. From my understanding, you'd be so shocked by what you saw, your first reaction would be to tell someone. Confronting Sandusky would've seemed scary. I ask myself too, why not beat the shit out of Sandusky? But really you can't attest much or make great presumptions unless you're in the witness's shoes.
Joepa got what he deserved at a minimum; the focus needs to shift on not only any other victims, but others involved. Keep in mind a DA has never been found after he started digging in this same case, well they cant kill everyone that knows now. There are simply many more that were involved in covering this up knowingly and in higher power than joepa, who knows maybe joepa knew that if he said anything he would be next?

Their academic program is a joke as well as I work with some of the alumni and I usually question what the hell they learned while there to have them receive a degree. They brag about having 100,000+ students. That only shows it isn't that difficult to get accepted.
