Amazing to be able to do 8 rounds at their age! Tyson was more aggressive and active Roy was holding most of the rounds Clear win for Tyson but as it's an exhibition was called a draw Tyson is humble to accept draw, even though clear win
@@travzimmerman1340 you are taking this way too personal!! You are going from post to post saying the same damn thing. Who cares what it was, it was still showing Mike doing what he did best for years. You must have a lot of time on your hands.
@@johnhatchel9681The youngest world heavyweight champion, the absolute world boxing champion, the owner of the fastest knockout, was not included in the top ten?😂😂😂
@@user-tr5fd6wz8k Nope, unfortunately not. His prime was short compared to other grand heavy weights champions. He lost vs the best (holyfield, lewis). From the two of them Roy Jones has much better legacy.
Yeah Roy was holding on for dear life am amazed on how Mike went thru each round without sitting even once, that dude is amazing I love Mike he my all time favorite boxer.hes still strong in is fifties.big up Mike.
@@mr.skidd2733 This was an exhibition. A stage sparring sessions between friends. It was predetermined to be a draw literally months before the fight. I can't believe people thought this was real. Please, never have kids.
Clinching too much is a rule violation btw, punished by a point deduction under normal circumstances, but when big names like klitschko or in this case roy jones do it, refs tend to forget that. Roy Jones was literally wrestling at one point... Refs need to learn to do their job right.
Yea Mike is still fast and explosive for someone his age and size especially. But keep in mind these are both former dominating champs in their respective divisions
Jones has no foundational technique and relied mostly on his speed, reaction time and power in his prime which is why he quickly became average after his 50th fight. Tyson however has an almost perfect technique in avoiding punches and creating openings which is why there is such a skill gap between the two fighters in their elderly years.
Yall tryna make Roy eat through a tube. Those body shots were proof of mikes power. If he went to the head it would have been a bit much for an exhibition.
I just picture Roy telling Tyson when in the clench "You better not bite my damn ear" lol Props to them getting in the ring at 50+ years old. Couple of Legends even though it was just for the show and they weren't really giving it their kill kill kill mentality lol.
Yes its an exhibition 😞 2 legends , respect!! Is it just me or does anyone think that these 2 are still better than most heavyweights in the division we have now?
No. Usyk has unbelievable skills. He fights like a middleweight. Also Tyson Fury is amazing and would best either one of those. It's a shame his not a great chap outside of the ring.
I don't really think so. Almost every professional heavyweight boxer in active could beat these two guys now, but that's something totally normal at their age. Anyways, I really miss the old heavyweight boxers. Compared to now, boxing is in decadence. I think we don't have any active boxer who's gonna be a legend in the future.
Jones didn't act like he wanted to be there for a single moment of the entire fight. He would just st punch and hold, he may have been worried about getting hurt honestly. Even tho mike is in his 50s, he still has insane power and that quick twitchy explosion he would always throw his punches with. You can see a steeper decline in Jones punching.
@@travzimmerman1340 Did you think this was AI generated? Obviously it's real. U acting like Roy was holding back. No mfer he was gassed the entire time
What? There are many legends, what about Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Manny Pacquiao, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Robinson, Julio Cesar Chavez, Marvin Hagler, Oscar De La Hoya, Roberto Duran, Jack Dempsey, Willie Pop, Jack Johnson ect…
In this fight you can see a slow and uncoordinated Mike Tyson. practically without knowing where to throw the punches and people still believe that he will be able to do something to Jake Paul. do not misunderstand me. Paul is not going to do anything to Tyson either, because Tyson still has the agility to defend.
Roy was holding on about 1 minute and 45 seconds of every round that's how he survived whatever works because most people get knocked out in the first round with Tyson
Too much running around by Roy. Would’ve liked to see a head to head fighter to fight Mike would’ve been much better. Mike still looks great. The head movement still there as well as the combos.
@@thesportsjunkie4827 he doesn't run! this is boxing, do you think he's fighting mike tyson head to head, he knows it's not worth it because tyson is better in the infight. that's why roy jones uses the whole ring and moves back and forth. 🤦🏻🤦🏻
Roy jones jr in his prime is one of the greatest boxers ever as well as mike Tyson. Roy jones wasn’t just fast, he was a counter puncher as well. He could’ve easily been a brawler, but he is a counter puncher. He would be able to throw 3 left hooks at u in a row and u would think he punched u one time!
@@mosswine5417 I do agree Roy was probably the most fun fighter to watch out of everybody but I do believe Muhammad was the greatest boxer that ever was! Expo boxer founder of boxing vs UFC and best fight predictor of all times that's me
That's exhibition boxing for you. Pulled punches, arm shots, maybe punches thrown with 50% power. These guys definitely had a quiet agreement to not try and hurt each other.
