love how with every another song, children are treated worse by ompa loompas Augustus just need to hear his disstrack They were dancing at Violet, they would just move her anyway but yeah they were making fun of her by this They were throwing even more ugly trash to Veruca chute They were actually beating, hunting and frying Mike
I think it's due to how bad they truly are, the worse ya are, the worse the oompa loompas will treat you. Augustus was probably one of the only few winners that isn't violent in the slightest, he only doesn't know how to stop eating, hence how they only sang to him. violet was a little meaner then Augustus due to her own pride and stuff, but she wasn't the worst of them, so all she got was her diss track and a bunch of teasing. veruca is a lot worse then the first two thanks to her own greed and desire, so not only did she get yeeted into the garbage shoot, but then her father fell in too. and Mike was the only one who caused PHYSICAL VIOLENCE, while also being an complete brat, so they decided to choose violence onto him in his song. or maybe I'm just overanalyzing this-
Wonka is all about imagination while Mike is all about logic, that's why he constantly bullies Wonka and the Oompa-Loompas, unlike the other children. The TV thing isn't meant to be a gimmick, it's meant to support how "TV destroys the imagination." That's why the Oompa-Loompas start their song with "The most important thing that we've ever learned, as far as children are concerned."
+Angus Maxim just because he bullies wonka and the Oompa Loompas doesn't mean he's the villain, it's just another rotten trait. he's just another rotten child just like Augustus, Violet, and Veruca. There is no villain in this movie.
When Mike Teavee in the movie had said, "Die! Die! Die!" some character in the movie Shazam had said the same thing, but it wasn't nearly as good as when Jordan Frye did it.
Yeah as a kid I watched this all the time. Absolutely loved Mike but was so freaked out at the second half of this song where the loompas are basically just beating him up (smashing him with guitar, Trying to stab him etc) and now I just laugh at how he doesn’t really show enough fear until that stuff happens
Hierrik Medan ikr he was beaten, yeeted, and crushed to a bloody pulp (jk) and only for him to be PHYSICALLY DESTROYED forever! But at least in the book it said every basketball team will be after him.
Danny Elfman has returned to his Rock roots. Incidently, I think more rock bands should have names that follow the same general theme as "Oingo Boingo".
1971 version: don't watch TV, or you will want to be famous on TV... OH, IS THAT A TELEVISION REFERENCE? ...we don't have much character development for this one. 2005: boss battle
🎶The most important thing That we've ever learned The most important thing we've learned As far as children are concerned Is never, never let them near a television set Or better still just don't install the idiotic thing at all (Never, never let them, never, never let them) It rots the senses in the head It kills imagination dead It clogs and clutters up the mind It makes a child so dull and blind (So dull and blind, so dull and blind) He can no longer understand A fairytale in fairyland (In Fairyland, in Fairyland) His brain becomes as soft as cheese His thinking powers rust and freeze He cannot think he only sees (He only sees, he only sees) Regarding little Mike Teavee We very much regret that we (regret that we) Shall simply have to wait and see We very much regret that we Shall simply have to wait and see If we can get him back to size But if we can't It serves him right🎶
I love this rock instrumental it really fits of how mean he is, Mike Teavee is one of the special characters he’s wrathful, intelligent, hates candy, and is mostly bored, he’s one of the most relatable ones and he’s also the supposed to be the most rotten out of all the five, like Willy Wonka says, he’s the little devil.
@@mattthesilent777REDthe thing is, Mike found his ticket just so he could prove how smart he is. He doesn’t even like chocolate, but still found and kept the ticket just to flex his intellect
The most important thing That we’ve ever learned The most important thing we’ve learned as far as children are concerned Is never, never let them near A television set Or better still just don’t install the idiotic thing at all
Given how Mike is not the least bit interested about chocolate, even though he is rotten like Augustus, Violet and Veruca, you might expect him to be the least likely child to do something stupid in Wonka's Chocolate Factory... if the Television Room never existed.
The most important thing, that we've ever learned,The most important thing we've learned as far children areconcernedIs nerver, never let them near, a television set,Or better still just don't intall the idiotic thing at all,(Is nerver, never let them... never, never let them) It rots the senses in the head, It kills imagination dead,It clogs and clutters up the mind, It makes a child so dull andblind,(So blind... So blind) You can no longer understand a fairytale in fairyland. (Afairyland...A fairyland) His brian becomes as soft as cheese, his thinking powers rust asn freeze,He cannot thing, he only SEES!... Regarding little Mike Teavee,we very much regret that we (Regret that we)Will simply have to wait and see...We very much regret that weWill simply have to wait and seeif we can get him back to size,But if we can't... It serves him right!
Alright so lemme get this clear.. So I know the creator said that Mike is technically the villain in this but If you look properly he actually isn’t because think about it. When Augustus was going to get sucked up the pipe,Willy Wonka looks at the pipe then back at Augustus really creepily - or evilly if were talking about villians here - And Mike says after the Oompa Loompas finish Augustus’s song he says “It’s like they knew what was gonna happen” with a sus look and his face,Maybe he was trying to alert the other kids bot to make a silly mistake like Augustus but of course he didnt. Then In the Television room when its only him and Charlie left he jumps into the strange thing and goes into the TV,almost as if he thought that Charlie was gonna be sent by tv instead so maybe Mike went into that strange teleporter tv thingy to sacrifice himself so Charlie could win the prize- but Mike didn’t know that he would win the whole chocolate factory, but Charlie declines obviously because after what had happened to the other kids he didn’t want them to go through what the other kids felt like. So technically Mike isn’t the real villain Wonka is- but hey, thats just a theory.. A GAME THEORY!! waaait but this is a film- oh okay never mind
Eh,to be honest, willy wonka would have been an antagonist if it weren't for the whole backstory stuff Just because he got some "daddy issues" doesn't mean that excuses the fact that he diliberately tries to "punish" 4 brats by mutating them but the plot obviously does Honestly if this were a more adult kind of movie than it probably wouldn't be excused but obviously they don't want their main guy, willy wonka being seen as some bad guy so they just throw in some backstories so people can sympathize him.. Also for mike..I honestly don't think he would do that,he seems like the kind of person to be more on "himself" ya know but I do agree that he was smart about figuring out that there was something suspicious going around..or just think there is The only way this kind of theory could probably be true(for the other half which is mike going all anti hero like and sacrificing himself)is if this was some kind of series or whatever When I say series,I mean something like "A tale of unfortunate the events" the modern one,not the old one Basically if you don't know tales of unfortunate events, basically one thing to be certain is that anyone could always change their whole charater in a second There could be this sweet guy who actually turns out to be sadistic and this creepy old man who kindly helps you on your way,it's a game of cards! I think this whole thing would start to work out with mike being an antihero along with the other 3 brats maybe getting more in-depth about that then this theory could be true! How you like it?
Although he was a lot nicer to Charlie than Augustus and Veruca he said Charlie’s idea was stupid not Charlie himself Mike antagonized Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas way more
He literally called Charlie a idiot and jumped into the thingy to prove he’s a genius, that’s what he said lmao. I don’t think you remembered the movie. When he said it’s like the song was practiced, it’s just common sense. Imagine people singing a entire song about a guy that’s literally drowning in chocolate right in front of them. I like how you added nothing else because he was a spoiled brat idiot the entire movie lmao.
One of the best songs in the movie, definitely on my top five. 5. Every other song 4. The Welcome Song 3. Aggustus Gloop 2. Mike Teavee 1. Opening Song
0:09 y lo que importa aqui, y hay que aprender, lo importante es saber lo que los niños quieren ver y nunca hay que dejarlo.. tan cerca del tv, es simplemente no instalar el aparato hipnotizante AH AH.... AH... AH... AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH.. :v
This explains something they call the scene the 4 rotten children Augustus: the least rotten one and found the ticket because He usually eats a bar daily so it was probably easy for him to find it and therefore Hes the least rotten and so his song is not that catchy Violet : a little rotten always a despicable and beastly girl and always making fun of others and thinking herself is the best and a overconfident brat And so her song is decently catchy and she's decently rotten Veruca : a spoiled brat who unfairly found the ticket by telling her father to find it and was not patient at all and her own spoiled Personality got her and her father dumped into a garbage chut and was lucky the incinerator was broken so she is rotten and therefore her song is catchy Mike: a Chad gamer who only had to buy one bar and says that he hates chocolate and and so why does he wanna go to the factory!? Who knows but he made wonka remember one of his worst memories and he got himself into trouble therefore he is rotten as HELL!!!! So his song is real catchy!!!!!!!!

Mike Teevee is legit just "technology bad book good" boomer rhetoric. There is literally no reason to hate phones, TV and technology. They don't make you stupid, they're merely another form of entertainment. No different from a book.
Its not televisions fualt mike is like this i dont know why people suggest this. The problem with how mike became this is becuase he wasnt patented at all. The tv wasnt the problem it was the parents not doing their job
>the oompah loompahs call Mike Teevee stupid >he's arguably one of the smartest children of the group, easily brighter than Charlie, he's merely more arrogant and impulsive
Bruh if the creator says he stupid he's stupid sure hw knows some things but thw creator was the one whi gave him personality and gave him stupidness so you can't argue with the creator are you the creator??
Mike's song is so enraging cuz people like Mike were Willy's principal villains, Willy was all about magic and fantasy, meanwhile Mike didn't believe in anything but scientific facts.
given the role he had in the 2005 version, this is actually a villain song, except is mocking the villain instead of telling a plan or emphasizing his power

These songs sound like good boss battle songs. If the Four Rotten Children ever come back to get revenge on Willy Wonka, they would go through another lesson about why they can't have what they want, and as their battles plays, these songs play. Can you imagine that? Or it could be the machines malfunctioning after what they did to the Four Rotten Children that they player would be battling.
There is a fan book that was made that had all the children return to the factory when Charlie was running it SPOILERS argustus w as a chief at a failing resturant cause he cooked really good food. But kept eating it violet when she turned blue she pushed her goals on her son because of what happend varuca became a caring and loving mother but became a little bit overprotective of her son and Mike TV hired a lawyer on the tour to try and get Charlie sued and when that failed He tried to take over the factory

16 years later, “Welcome to the Internet” by Bo Burnham essentially became the adult version of this song in his present perspective. If you look up the amazing rock cover by I think Family Jules, it REALLY is uncanny.
Fun fact: it’s actually incredibly lucky that Charlie lives close to the factory, because if he was from say Germany like Augustus, how would he pay for the flight over there.
