I think Mason Rudolph looked really good from what I could see in the highlights. I think we need to really think about stopping getting young wide receivers all the time. They are already good there, and each year the Steelers have lost in recent years, it has been because of young players fumbling.

Mason plays entire season We play at home in playoffs. However lack of coaching was what killed the Steelers. Pittsburgh needs help every year just to make the playoffs. I get the frustration....but some quick thoughts from a Giants fan------ (1) Steelers never seem to have the most talent on the field recently. I think back to Cohwer blowing some games where he had the most talent (pitt vs. san diego afc championship) (2) These QBs seem average at best- post Ben. seems like they need their next franchise QB. (3) At the moment, I would take making the playoffs yearly over random 3-13 seasons every other year... nothing like the fan base being depressed and the season over by week 5 often, with random coaches shuffled in and out.

Mike Tomlin is a high floor coach. You will never see the Steelers be terrible under him. But you’ll never see them be great either. Is it really that worth it? Is that top caliber to be in NFL purgatory? Never good enough to make noise, but never bad enough to get the top draft picks to rebuild? It’s not a lifetime appointment, it’s results. The name of the game is “Super Bowl” not just a winning record in regular season.
