Yes Mike is a very humble guy but you know deep down in his competitive juices, he wants another chance to face Ohtani in the WBC. A homerun would only have tied the game.......that was some excellent baseball we usually never see until October timeframe. I really thought DR would put it on everyone with all the firepower they had! I did notice that Japan has another pitcher that may be even potentially better than Ohtani! Seems like the WBC has enhanced this start to the MLB as well!

Heard this interview after watching ohtani strike out trout at the WBC. As a lifelong mariner fan understandably I dreaded seeing him in the batters box. Now I'm a fan of the man. He's got his priorities straight and seems like a humble dude.

I'm not sure what Harold Reynolds is referring to when he says Trout fouled back one of Ohtani's pitches. There was NO fouled-off pitch. Trout didn't touch a single one of those pitches. Was Reynolds hallucinating, or did I blank out each time I re-watched the sequence of pitches?
