Actually Tyson faced troubles with Ruddock, Green, Tucker, and also with Bruno for a while. His defensive strategy was based on avoiding punches but he didn't protect much himself focusing only on attack. I don't agree with people when they say Mike wasn't the usual Tyson when he lost from Douglas, he simply was too confident and didn't protect properly from that uppercut.
Dude. Are you ever gonna upload the lomachko highlights and the wilder highlights again? I legit want the songs in them and you don’t reply. I need the names
You are absolutely right. Tyson's attitude and personality changed so much with King and Givens in his life. They were both greedy parasites who used Mike and were in it for all they could get. Mike needed caring guidance and advice because he wasn't worldly. He was ripe for the picking and that's what they did. Sad. And I will always think of him as the best. He should have had his pathway unblocked as he went into the record books as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time. Just my opinion.
I am more than convinced if Holyfield or Lewis faced mike that time they have non chains to win !!! They fought agents different Tyson when mike was not same as before so for me mike always better boxer than Holyfield or Lewis even thеу are great boxers too!!!
Holyfield would have had a good chance at beating the best version of Mike. It would be 50/50 either way. I think Holyfield proved that against Bowe 3 times. Mike was not a better boxer than Holyfield. He was a better pressure fighter, but that was it. Pressure fighting, and inside fighting was Tyson's main focus with his style. Every other strength accept for hand speed goes to Holyfield. Keep in mind, Holyfield is older than Tyson. When they did finally fight each other, it wasn't the best version of Holyfield by a long shot. Regardless of who would win, it would have been a brutal war, and it would have most likely went the full 12 rounds. Holyfield had one of the greatest chins ever, inhuman stamina, and endurance. He also was one of the greatest counter punchers to ever live, and he was brutal on the inside just like Tyson.
@@donavonhoward114 respect you’re opinion but mike in 85/86/87/88/89 was better boxer than Holyfield my friend !!! Hi was not as good as mike inside even hi was a great boxer a respect him hi was great champ !!!
@@besikantidze6242He got destroyed by Douglas!! How was he better than Holyfield? Holyfield is 4 years older and had wars in the ring. Mike never beat one great heavyweight in their prime
@@rafiqwashington9126 first off all it was biggest upset and than hi was in basset shape but no excuses for him !!! What about long count for Douglas in R 8th ???!!! Mike start to get regressed as boxer after Spinks fight without Kevin Rooney and his old team hi gats wrong way all this factors make him not better !!! I understand that you don’t like Tyson but you must be more realistic to be a correct persone !!!
@@besikantidze6242 No im a big Tyson fan more so out of the ring but im a boxing fan first. If he was out of shape he shouldn't have got in the ring. I never seen a athlete that him or the people make more excuses for than Mike. When I was a kid after the Douglas fight I said its ok he will comeback after that. Then all these excuses started come up. Everytime he lost its one excuse after another. The big difference is competition and his deficiencies getting expose. A strong jab to make him move into a follow up right hand. If you look back on the fight it wasn't that big of a upset because of the level of competition he was fighting C level fighters. He never beat one great heavyweight in their prime. He koed that lifetime light heavyweight in 30 seconds so how could you make a judgement of decline off of that. Stop making excuses its a 10 count not a 10 second count. If he is a great as you say he would of finished him after he got up. Douglas made sure Tyson did get up. Like is said Tyson never beat one great heavyweight in their prime and if he did tell me who it was.
Not even close. He was was exposed by the Holyfield and Lewis. I respect him, but from a technical standpoint, he was limited. He had no ability to adapt when his style didn’t work.
The interesting thing in all of this is that Mike Tyson was taken down by an average, middle of the pack boxer in Jan 1990. Who had a 42:1 odds of beating Tyson.Does James Douglas ring a bell? To all those Avid Boxing fans
