@@FrankLucas81682ro Muhammad Ali can knockout a prime George Foreman but Holyfield could barely win against George Foreman when was more fat and sloppy and holyfield was slightly outboxing Mike tyson before the bite so I can’t see how Ali would lose I bet prime foreman could knockout Holyfield and Tyson in their primes
@michaelcartman1129
@michaelcartman1129 Год назад
Taken 1000 % serious in camp. Muhammed ali wins. You have to put Muhammad ali as pound 4 pound number 1 of all times. There's 2 styles of boxing orthodox and unorthodox ali showed the world what was important and dominant in being a boxer. With wins against sonny listin, frazier and foreman i don't think there was a style of fighting he couldnt prepare for. With his size and movement he couldnt be touched as a boxer on top form. Tyson would be arguably second to ali if he was in that era but not forgetting the elite abillitys of frazier, foreman and a prime holmes could have been difficult for iron mike to maintain that spot?

Larry was near 40 years old, and Tyson had a tough time hitting him up until that one punch. Lol, I doubt Tyson beats a young Larry Holmes. He beat up a bunch of no names, and lost to all the top tier heavyweights. It's so cringey watching casual boxing fans act like Mike was the goat or something just because of his intimidating ora and dominance over scrubs. Guy is easily the most overrated boxer ever. And I say this as someone who is a fan of Mike.

Tyson style was closest to Joe Frazier, very close, intense, and Foreman first or Second champion could end you with ONE punch. If you add the unncany ability of Foreman to eat punches like you eat candy and its very annoying defense, he could have been the Tyson Kryptonite. Tyson was way better during the first few rounds and tired pretty quickly. If Foreman could wistand 3 rounds... Im no boxer, but i know that technical guys like ali have advantages against big punchers like Foreman, but weaker to styles like Frazier with lots of pressure. So like in rock paper cisors ali>foreman>Frazier/Tyson>ali In an alernate universe maybe...❤

Mike is a legit terror. But in his prime, before he got knocked out at the age of 23 by James “Buster” Douglas, which gave Mike his first professional loss, 4 fighters went the distance with Mike. James “Quick” Tillis, Mitch Green, James “Bonecrusher” Smith, and Tony Tucker. None of those 4 are considered “great”. Most don’t remember them. But Mike at age 23, with a record of 37-0 w/33 ko’s got thoroughly beaten and knocked out by a mediocre Buster Douglas. So the point is Mike was a great but if those 5 guys mentioned went the distance with the fifth knocking him out, it would be fair to say that if you insert Ali, Frazier, Foreman into one of those 5 fights they surely should have faired just as well or better than those 5 fighters did.

Hollyfield himself said this and that he wasn't sure if he would have beat "prime Tyson" but being the champion he is every champion would say "yes" because that's the mindset every champion has to have. I love Hollyfield but honestly I believe Tysin before prison would have wrecked Hollyfield while Douglas was a complete failure on Tyson's part for not taking fighting ANY heavyweight seriously. He thought he would just walk through him with little to no effort and could party until 4 am and barely train if at all before the fight. That's how easy it was for Tyson when he was on point, he just didn't realize how dedicated he was and what made him so great was his focus besides also being a physical phenom but the latter isn't enough he learned the hard way.

yes, but in this one he explains more and makes it a discussion, at least. Of course Mike would be exposed with big punchers but what if his speed with his power would be enough? Maybe he wouldn't dominate like in the 80's but too say that he wouldn't stand a chance or that he is overrated is an exaggeration.

There's a reason. In that era, you either have to be the best, or you get schooled. Only man to test Ali in his prime was Frazier, and even Frazier struggled against different fighters. It was a time where matchup difference mattered because EVERYONE was at the top of their game. Unlike today, or 90s. That being said, Tyson is one of my favorite PERSON of all time. With how he redeemed himself, accepted his shortcomings and remained a terrifying beast even at his older age.

Greatest heavyweight of all time... he beat no one in his prime or past it. Most overrated fighter by the casuals, he was great but he's nowhere near the top of the pile. Ali beat Liston ×2, Cooper ×2, Archie Moore, Floyd Patterson ×2, Quarry, Bonavena, Joe Bugner, George Chuvalo, Lyle, Shavers, Norton × 2, Frazier × 2, George Foreman - Ali beat everyone in his era and he was past his prime for a lot of these victories. @@deecruz6428 Exactly, people who don't know boxing at all think Mike was the GOAT. He wasn't even close, lol. Yes, he was a bulldog with an intimating ora, but skill wise, he wasn't on many boxers levels. He knocked out a bunch of no names, and lost to all the top tier heavyweights. And then they use drugs as an excuse, even though many athletes were on drugs and had drinking problems. Lawrence Taylor for example smoked crack before every football game, it only made him better. Tyson just got exposed by the greats. He even had a tough time against Larry Holmes here, when Larry was near 40 years old. Tyson's youth and strength helped him get the knock out, but before that, he did almost nothing.
