Doesn't matter how it was intended.. the interviewer took it as a IDLH threat (immediate danger to life or health). And I for one do not blame him AT ALL! lol😂... you got it champ. I'm out bud ✌️ like a pimp playa!..
He was crying. There are few things to make a man more upset than losing a child. It's immediate rage ,horror, and the greatest sadness you can imagine... all at once. I've had many of these interactions, and I greatly respect people who can understand and reconise that. Mike was ready to die or kill someone else. He needed to leave, reconised it, and did it. It was incredibly emotionally mature.
He said that split second was scary. I’d imagine that was the split second after he said “you have to leave” and before he said “you understand, thank you”
That wasn’t a threat , that was a man who doesn’t break down infront of cameras he politely asked you to leave and shook your hand and was polite all around then to and deal with emotion alone .
No. You are a little off base. I’ve seen that look from a man capable of terrible things. It wasn’t that he cared about breaking down. It’s the rage of losing your child.
Exactly. Thank you! I’m in recovery myself and saw a lot of trauma in my using years that are now surrounded by shame and guilt in my mind. I 100% felt what he said right there. He just needed some space.
He shakes his hand, says thank you politely and even smiles for a second, trying to show he's not mad at him. I think MT reacted absolutely reasonable 👍
@@tanneralberson2772it wasn't a threat, it was a warning. Mike was holding back something that no father should ever feel, and that feeling is dangerous for everyone around him. Dealing with some demons is harder than you know.
@@tanneralberson2772its because the guy in giving the interview laughed under his breath. Listen very closely after Mike said "I couldn't handle it at all". who in the F would laugh at someone emotional, pouring his heart out?! That old fart lucky he didn't die.
Yeah, but the racist jerks (including apparently the interviewer) who put this crap out there to try to get some click bucks certainly are trying hard to imply that.
He was in no way being threatening, he was being polite asking for the interview to end as it brought everything back in a sudden wave of emotion and needed to escape. Bless him.. 😢
He was not threatening the interviewer however He talks about considering shooting up the hospital his daughter was at, directly after her death. It feels like he is about to snap every time the topic is touched on (in interviews at least). I don’t think the poor guy was ever able to truly grieve her loss. I pray someday he finds peace.
@@kowengrogg2546but... Even Joe Rogan noticed Mike's energy change, the table that day, in the JRE podcast studio... It wasn't big enough, Joe could feel it! Mike is Mike!
You can literally see Mike has so much pain in his eyes and the instant switch when he tells him to go you see he goes into a very dark place where nobody is going to be safe around him. It was a polite warning letting him know I'm about to get extremely violent.
Some people have just lived under a rock there whole life and get afraid of people showing too much emotion because they’ve never been through anything so they don’t understand
Everyone has a weakness. I'm a retired fighter, and a father. I was pretty tough in my day too. Maybe not Tyson tough, but tough enough. I would be breaking down too. Heartbreaking.
@@jacqulinenijman5329 Right. It was his eyes but then he was like "You understand, right?" It was tough for him speaking about the loss of his baby girl.
So knowing mike from seeing and hearing so much of him thats actually him in the last seconds before he cant hold it all back anymore. Like if any little thing hits or someone tells him to hang on or something hes going to go off. The way his daughter died... we cant blame him for the anger over heartbreak
We have Cus to thank for that. Taught him to be a real gentleman. I’ve often seen some of his classiest/most human moments when he’s hurting or angry. But I’ve also seen plenty of the opposite so what do i know. But we are lucky this clip was captured. A lot of lessons to be learned from this vid
@@adr77510 the fact is it can be both. If you have ever lost a loved one you would understand. The other fact is, Tyson recognized his limits and ended the interview before something bad actually happened. The interviewer was clueless.
Mike has suffered loss on many levels but two things that can never be taken from him is his courage of a savage warrior and heart of a loving father. There will never be another man or champion like him.
Yeah, agreed. But I don't think Mike trusts the media, and for good reason. He can at times seem like he feels like he's being used and exploited (maybe some truth to that). So yes, he was respectful... but that shift in him was pronounced and pretty frightening. Dude is still Iron Mike.
Idk i saw his eyes change. I think mike knows himself and gave the guy his warning cause Mike knew the interviewer didn't intend to be invasive. Look at the eyes.
If you lose your parents you're an orphan. If you lose your wife or husband you're a widow or widower. There is no word for the pain of losing a child.
@@valerie190makhi @valerie190makhi I dont usually post sympathy comments on things, but I am truly sorry this happened to you and your little one. She never got the chance to grow up and live a life, but her memory will live forever in your heart. She was probably too precious for this world anyway.
Sometimes people can remain humble and real, but assertive at the time. The death of a child can make life very real and in your your face type reality that haunts you.
Right! It’s not “you have to go” cause I’m about to beat your ass it’s more like “ you have to go” because I don’t want to cry on camera he even says “you understand right” He made his whole career on being hard he doesn’t want to lose it with a camera shoved in his face and either would anyone else
@@Misssydneyi wouldn’t necessarily say just that, I think this is more so on the fact that yeah, hes a star and and hes saying some pretty heavy stuff on camera, like he knew “I had to get high” didnt feel good to say to a camera while at the same time hes feeling really heavy while talking about his daughter. Like theres just a lot of shit going through his head at that moment, he just knew it wasn’t a good time to talk at that moment because yeah, it coulda gotten worse. but you get me? I wouldn’t say its much about keeping that “hard” look he has.
That look in his eyes when he said you have to go now right, you understand! That was terrifying because he looked like a pitbull that was being nice enough give you a bark before he bites!
💯 yup, so tired that people always talk shit like he is a monster. He wanted the interviewer to leave so he could mourn. Fuck me this makes me sad to see
I think that he was getting pissed off and didn't want to kill him. MT lives in Vegas, my home town. Mike went through a shitload of abuse from EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH HIS LIFE. After his trainer/ father figure died. Mike lost it all to the fucken leaches in the boxing world 10s of millions of dollars. His wife sued him for rape... and won got millions for years. He's got or had serious anger issues, he was a monster in the ring for a reason. He lives well now and we don't hear much about him but his life is better. Thank God
I think Mike looked at him after he said “I couldn’t handle it” and remembered he was just another cold zoo-goer that didn’t actually give a rip about him or his situation or his feelings. Edit: I finally found the full interview, and they got with Mike before the left and Mine said “it’s in, I gotta grow up and stop crying”. And the interviewer guy said “it’s okay Mike, you’re allowed to cry.” He was actually just embarrassed, and felt vulnerable.
That interviewer, was petrified when Mike said that, after all who asks a person a question like that ? Were you the same person the next day, fr that’s what you ask a father who buried his baby girl? I’m gonna say he’s lucky Mike held back. I didn’t even know any of this. I’m sure many didn’t, What was the guy trying to do? And why is he sitting in a circle talking to people about how scared he was ?
@@tonybalongna....the interviewer was asking personal questions that forced MT to tap into a negative place that he didn't want to go. MT already knew that man was going to keep DIGGING and PROBING for an an emotional response that would get him higher ratings AND MT IS INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT MAN WAS PLAYING A DANGEROUS GAME. That man wasn't concerned for his well-being, just the ratings ❤
I have so much respect for Mike Tyson, he battled his demons and made a choice to get help, some never ask for help, may they Rest In Peace. God Bless you Mike. 🪶🖤🙏🏼💀🪶
Did you not hear the switch in his voice, man went from sad to ready to kill. I'm not saying he's an animal, he's just Iron Mike a man who would cry for you over the can of whoop ass he's about to open on you
@phillipaquino895 absolutely! Other ppl commenting that Mike didn't want to cry in front of journalist had it all wrong. That absolute shift in his demeanour was him recognising the monster was going to surface and he didn't want it happening. Journalist was right when he said it was the most terrifying few seconds of his life. When my own daughter died at 3yrs old totally unexpectedly and suddenly I know how angry I felt, so can totally understand what raw visceral emotions he to this day experiences over the loss of his daughter.

He was in unbearable pain and couldn’t talk about it. He was respectful to you, even said thank you. It wasn’t a threat. Did you look in his eyes? I feel so bad for him 😢
He was polite and I thought maybe he was about to start crying and did not want to show that in an interview. For whatever he has done or been I believe he is a good father.
You didn't lose a child you as an asked about your dead child. Mike apologized and said that he was sorry that he had to leave because he was digging into the feelings of my emotions asking questions about his child.
Yeah, your three year old daughter killed in an accident at home…. As a dad of a girl who is about to turn three, I can honestly say there wouldn’t be anything worse…. I can only imagine (feels like imagining a nightmare) the anger you would feel every second. At the world, at anyone that could e helped, and most of all yourself.😢. I’ve lost a lot of people close to me, in different ways. But I can imagine any of it being worse than losing my baby girl. To add being interviewed about it. Argh, he showed some much restraint and wisdom in telling him “you have to go now” Shit was about to get really dark, and bad.
The camera rolled on, and Tyson was very polite, even offering an apology. I appreciate how this interviewer managed to turn the event into a narrative about himself in a series of interviews recently, casting Mike in a monstrous light.
Totally agree. I'm sure it would have made him feel so much better in that moment to pound the absolute heck out of that guy. But he didn't do it. He has really evolved. Respect to MT.
