What I would like to have happen in my own life is to let go of the past - quit imprinting on my mind past traumatic events. Take faith in the words of the bible and make things new. The past can be used as reference to help others or avoid pitfalls to be certain. But I don't want to live angry or sad or feel beat up. That's how the devil wants me to feel. I should be rejoicing! I'm out! I'm no longer living in a lie! This is good news!

You are very right My Dear Friend in Christ. THIS IS GOOD NEWS. Wendy always asks me how I stay positive & happy all the time. My reply is I don't accept bad news. I sweep it out of my head right away like it never existed. It was a little hard to do at first, but now it just seems to happen by itself & I'm glad it does. My life is soooo much better for it. Try to do it yourself. Just 'will' it out of your head. When ya shush bad things outta your head there is so much more room for happy thoughts, and that's the truth. Stay safe in Christian Love . . I remember when JW's would say (in almost a derogatory way) about 'born again Christians' having their 'born again experience' and how it was 'just a feeling'. Well, besides their 'mocking' Jesus' own words that a person must be born again to see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3), how sad to think, that the vast majority of JW's have been prevented from experiencing that deep joy for themselves - the moment at which the Holy Spirit begins to work on the heart of one drawn by God, through Christ. To think, God promised to do a most wonderful thing to the hearts of people coming in to the New Covenant, as the 'Israel of God', the covenant opened up through the death and shed blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 9:15-28; Galatians 6:12-16) Foretelling this blessing: “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Jeremiah 31:33 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; *I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh* . And I will put my Spirit in you and *move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws* ." Ezekiel 36:26+27 When the Holy Spirit begins that work of placing a natural inclination and desire for Gods ways on minds and hearts of flesh, and not stone (or stone tablets), there is plenty of reason for great emotion and joy. Thank you Mike and Eric for sharing another encouraging experience.

John 1, 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 *All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.* 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bear witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. John 3, 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  1 John 5,  9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Jn 5:19 So Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, unless He sees the Father doing it. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does. 20The Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. And to your amazement, He will show Him even greater works than these. 21For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom He wishes. 22Furthermore, the Father judges no one, but has assigned all judgment to the Son, 23so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

To all ex JW, please consider the Holy Catholic Church in your research. I know it's the most hated church in protestant community, but did you make a thorough, non bias research in this church, the same way you did from your previous church? For starter, this is the only church today that can rightfully claim to be " founded" by Jesus Christ and provides tons of proof such as antiquity, old churches, relics, history, apostle's remains, etc..We are indeed the true witness of Christ, with stories and proof. ( Acts 1:8)thx and God bless.

I personally have objectively researched the practices, traditions and doctrines of the Catholic Church, and also learned Catholic philosophy and theology from my Catholic best friend who long has tried to convert me. I also am familiar with the Church Fathers of the first four centuries Do they have some things correct, better than the Protestants? Some things indeed I believe, but in turn the Protestants get things right that the Catholics don't. It is my conclusion that the doctrines of the Catholic Church have betrayed the teachings of Christ, Peter, the Apostles, the Pastristic fathers and early saints in all manner of subjects. The Trinity (which the early church fathers did not believe as stated in their texts from the 2nd-4th centuries) Idolatry (bowing to statues) Transubstantiation (not in scripture, and contradicts many scriptures) The Papacy (there is no Pope in the scriptures or early church history, and Pope means "abba father", so it claims the title of God) Prayers to Saints (prayer is addressed to God alone, and Christ is our only mediator/intercessor - prayers to saints came after the Christianisation of Rome's Pantheon of gods for the ease of pagan converts) Adoption of many other pagan customs "christianised" (admitted by the CC) Glorification of Mary Claiming the dead are already alive and awaken in Heaven (which denies the truth of the sleeping awaiting resurrection, as in scripture, and in many early church father writings). If you want to see my writings on these subjects, you can check out my blog for the deeper details in several subjects, or playlists that I have on my channel concerning "Apostate Christendom" to check out subjects like these, and in-depth examination of the claims of the Catholics being the "true church". The fact of the matter is this, even if they indeed have a traceable Apostolic succession, the scriptures say we should reject the leaders of the Church if they contradict the teachings of Christ (Galatians 1:8-11). Hence, no church has any authority, only our Lord does. Wish you well, brother.

Obviously you don't know God's Word, the Bible, concerning the tri-unity of God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit ‭1 Corinthians 2, [14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Trinity is a false doctrine. And... what a way to begin your presentation... "Obviously you don't know God's word the Bible,.." Where did you learn argumentation and persuasion?
@Morewecanthink
@Morewecanthink 5 месяцев назад
@@vintage6346 - The Tri-Unity of God is what derives from the biblical Text in its whole context. Not man decides / determines 'truth'. God's Word, the Bible, is Truth (John 17, 17). I learned through the Bible, God's Word, that it is the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, God HIMSELF, who is leading into all Truth: ‭John 16, 7-16 [7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] of sin, because they believe not on me; [10] of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; [11] of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. [12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. [15] All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. @@vintage6346- This opinion is NOT in accordance with the Holy Scripture! - Acts 17, 10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto *Berea:* who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 *These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.* 12 Therefore many of them believed; JEWISHNESS AND THE TRINITY By Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Founder/Director of Ariel Ministries "Shema Yisroel Adonai Elochenu Adonai Echad" (Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.) Rabbi Stanley Greenberg of Temple Sinai in Philadelphia wrote: "Christians are, of course, entitled to believe in a Trinitarian conception of God. but their effort to base this conception on the Hebrew Bible must fly in the face of the overwhelming testimony of that Bible. Hebrew Scriptures are clear and unequivocal on the oneness of God The Hebrew Bible affirms the one God with unmistakable clarity Monotheism, an uncompromising belief in one God, is the hallmark of the Hebrew Bible, the unwavering affirmation of Judaism and the unshakable faith of the Jew." Whether Christians are accused of being polytheists or tritheists and whether or not it is admitted that the Christian concept of the Tri-unity is a form of monotheism, one element always appears: one cannot believe in the Trinity and be Jewish. Even if what Christians believe is monotheistic, it still does not seem to be monotheistic enough to qualify as true Jewishness. Rabbi Greenberg's article tends to reflect that thinking. He went on to say, "... under no circumstances can a concept of a plurality of the Godhead or a trinity of the Godhead ever be based upon the Hebrew Bible." It is perhaps best to begin with the very source of Jewish theology and the only means of testing it: Hebrew Scriptures. Since so much relies on Hebrew Scripture usage, then to the Hebrew we should turn. GOD IS A PLURALITY The Name Elohim It is generally agreed that Elohim is a plural noun having the masculine plural ending "im." The very word Elohim used of the true God in Genesis 1, 1, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," is also used in Exodus 20, 3, "You shall have no other gods (Elohim) before Me," and in Deuteronomy 13, 2, "Let us go after other gods (Elohim)... ." While the use of the plural Elohim does not prove a Tri-unity, it certainly opens the door to a doctrine of plurality in the Godhead since it is the word that is used for the one true God as well as for the many false gods. Plural Verbs Used With Elohim Virtually all Hebrew scholars do recognize that the word Elohim, as it stands by itself, is a plural noun. Nevertheless, they wish to deny that it allows for any plurality in the Godhead whatsoever. Their line of reasoning usually goes like this: When "Elohim" is used of the true God, it is followed by a singular verb; when it is used of false gods, it is followed by the plural verb. Rabbi Greenberg states it as follows: "But, in fact, the verb used in the opening verse of Genesis is "bara," which means "he created" - singular. One need not be too profound a student of Hebrew to understand that the opening verse of Genesis clearly speaks of a singular God." The point made, of course, is generally true because the Bible does teach that God is only one God and, therefore, the general pattern is to have the plural noun followed by the singular verb when it speaks of the one true God. However, there are places where the word is used of the true God and yet it is followed by a plural verb: Genesis 20, 13: And it came to pass, when God (Elohim) caused me to wander (Literally: THEY caused me to wander) from my father's house ... Genesis 35, 7: ... because there God (Elohim) appeared to him ... (Literally: THEY appeared to him.) 2 Samuel 7,c23: ... God (Elohim) went ... (Literally: THEY went.) Psalm 58 Surely He is God who judges ... (Literally: THEY judge.) The Name Eloah If the plural form Elohim was the only form available for a reference to God, then conceivably the argument might be made that the writers of the Hebrew Scriptures had no other alternative but to use the word Elohim for both the one true God and the many false gods. However, the singular form for Elohim (Eloah) exists and is used in such passages as Deuteronomy 32, 15-17 and Habakkuk 3, 3. This singular form could easily have been used consistently. Yet it is only used 250 times, while the plural form is used 2,500 times. The far greater use of the plural form again turns the argument in favor of plurality in the Godhead rather than against it. Plural Pronouns Another case in point regarding Hebrew grammar is that often when God speaks of himself, he clearly uses the plural pronoun: Gen. 1, 26: Then God (Elohim) said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness" He could hardly have made reference to angels since man was created in the image of God and not of angels. The Midrash Rabbah on Genesis recognizes the strength of this passage and comments as follows: Rabbi Samuel Bar Hanman in the name of Rabbi Jonathan said, that at the time when Moses wrote the Torah, writing a portion of it daily, when he came to the verse which says, "And Elohim said, let us make man in our image after our likeness," Moses said, "Master of the universe, why do you give here with an excuse to the sectarians (who believe in the Tri-unity of God)" God answered Moses, "You write and whoever wants to err, let him err." (Midrash Rabbah on Genesis 1, 26 [New York NOP Press, N.D.]) It is obvious that the Midrash Rabbah is simply trying to get around the problem and fails to answer adequately why God refers to himself in the plural. The use of the plural pronoun can also be seen In the following: Gen. 3, 22: Then the LORD God (YHVH Elohim) said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us'' Genesis 11, 7: "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language.'' Isaiah 6, 8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" This last passage would appear contradictory with the singular "I" and the plural "us'' except as viewed as a plurality (us) in a unity (I). Plural Descriptions of God Another point that also comes out of Hebrew is the fact that often nouns and adjectives used in speaking of God are plural. Some examples are as follows: Ecclesiastes 12, 1: Remember now your Creator ... (Literally: CREATORS.) Psalm 149, 2: Let Israel rejoice in their Maker. (Literally: MAKERS.) Joshua 24, 19: ... holy God ... (Literally: HOLY GODS.) Isaiah 54, 5: For your Maker is your husband. (Literally: MAKERS, HUSBANDS.) Everything we have said so far rests firmly on the Hebrew language of the Scriptures. If we are to base our theology on the Scriptures alone, we have to say that on the one hand they affirm God's unity, while at the same time they tend towards the concept of a compound unity allowing for a plurality in the Godhead.

The Shema Deuteronomy 6, 4: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! Deuteronomy 6, 4, known as the SHEMA, has always been Israel's great confession. It is this verse more than any other that is used to affirm the fact that God is one and is often used to contradict the concept of plurality in the Godhead. But is it a valid use of this verse? On the one hand it should be noted that the very words "our God" are in the plural in the Hebrew text and literally mean "our Gods." However, the main argument lies in the word "one," which is the Hebrew word, ECHAD. A glance through the Hebrew text where the word is used elsewhere can quickly show that the word echad does not mean an absolute "one" but a compound "one." For instance, in Genesis 1, 5 the combination of evening and morning comprise one (echad) day. In Genesis 2, 24 a man and a woman come together in marriage and the two "shall become one (echad) flesh." In Ezra 2, 64 we are told that the whole assembly was as one (echad), though, of course, it was composed of numerous people. Ezekiel 37, 17 provides a rather striking example where two sticks are combined to become one (echad). Thus, use of the word echad in Scripture shows it to be a compound and not an absolute unity. There is a Hebrew word that does mean an absolute unity and that is YACHID, which is found in many Scripture passages, (Genesis 22, 2,12; Judges 11, 34; Psalm 22, 21; 25, 16; Proverbs 4, 3; Jeremiah 6, 26; Amos 8, 10; Zechariah 12, 10) the emphasis being on the meaning of "only." If Moses intended to teach God's absolute oneness as over against a compound unity, this would have been a far more appropriate word. In fact, Maimonides noted the strength of "yachid' and chose to use that word in his "Thirteen Articles of Faith'' in place of echad. However, Deuteronomy 6, 4 (the Shema) does not use "yachid" in reference to God. GOD IS AT LEAST TWO Elohim and YHVH Applied to Two Personalities To make the case for plurality even stronger, there are situations in the Hebrew Scriptures where the term Elohim is applied to two personalities in the same verse. One example is Psalm 45, 6-7: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions." It should be noted that the first Elohim is being addressed and the second Elohim is the God of the first Elohim. And so God's God has anointed him with the oil of gladness. A second example is Hosea 1, 7: "Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword or battle, by horses or horsemen." The speaker is Elohim who says he will have mercy on the house of Judah and will save them by the instrumentality of YHVH, their Elohim. So Elohim number one will save Israel by means of Elohim number two. Not only is Elohim applied to two personalities in the same verse, but so is the very name of God. One example is Genesis 19, 24: "Then he LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah from the LORD out of the heavens." Clearly we have YHVH number one raining fire and brimstone from a second YHVH who is in heaven, the first one being on earth. A third example is Zechariah 2, 8-9: "For thus says the LORD of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me." Again, we have one YHVH sending another YHVH to perform a specific task. The author of the Zohar sensed plurality in the Tetragrammaton (1) and wrote: "Come and see the mystery of the word YHVH: there are three steps, each existing by itself: nevertheless they are One, and so united that one cannot be separated from the other. The Ancient Holy One is revealed with three heads, which are united into one, and that head is three exalted. The Ancient One is described as being three: because the other lights emanating from him are included in the three. But how can three names be one? Are they really one because we call them one? How three can be one can only be known through the revelation of the Holy Spirit ." (Zohar, Vol III, 288; Vol II, 43, Hebrew editions. (See also Sonclno Press edition, Vol III, 134.)

Call it my Scottish cynicism, or maybe a childhood without a mother on the streets of Glasgow, but this came across to me more as an emotional encounter or an evangelical testimony. The 'big love' described by Mike is no different from any organisation we go into…it is time, trial and adversity that is going to show up who Jehovah has drawn to Christ, not an atmosphere or collectiveness. Before anyone quotes John 13.35, I am not dissing anyone or anything, just airing my initial impression….i pray that Mike and Eric and everyone trying to reach out to our Father and His son are welcomed home 🙏 John 6.44. P.S. I can’t think of anything worse than waking up and Eric’s face beaming down at me from my computer😂

"Big Love" is always felt whenever 2 or three are truly gathered in Jesus name and not following some man-made religion's rules. Jesus will always be there along with the "Helper" the Holy Spirit "reminding" us as promised and guiding us to our Father's "Big Love" because God is love. John 14:26@cammeag1965

@@mamajan99feeling love can just be a matter of self awareness or well being… its a personal thing for me but too more emotional stuff takes away the dignity and proper peace of worship…its not a case of feeling good for me, its a case of getting home IMHO

In my younger years I thought that deep "Knowledge" was the key to following Christ. But only if it leads us to LOVING one another intensely from the heart, (not the head),"Knowledge puffs up. But LOVE builds up." 1 Cor 8:1 LOVE the Lord your God with all your HEART (the seat of EMOTION) and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. ’Mark 12:30 These three remain: faith, hope and LOVE. But the greatest of these is LOVE.1 Corinthians 13:13 ABOVE ALL, LOVE one another DEEPLY, because LOVE covers over a multitude of sins Strive to excel in gifts that build up the church in LOVE, (1 Cor 14) not theology which puffs us up like a Pharisee. God IS LOVE! :@@cammeag1965

@@mamajan99thank you for whatever message you are sending me about love🤗💜…love is principled, strong and loyal…only adversity really tests it. The mention of love in English is overused and far removed from the'agape' of Christ.

Hi, Mike here. Have you ever read in the Bible at Isaiah 9:6-7. When you get there I'm sure you might recognize this is the words from that wonderful piece of music, 'Handel's Messiah' that they play on the radio at Christmas time. Near the end of verse 6 it reads that Jesus is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Remember, Jesus Father is the ALMIGHTY GOD, the creator of the heavens & the earth. Jesus was begotten or born of his Father making Him Devine, yes, but NOT Almighty. Stay safe & in Christian Love . . . Mike

Hi Beverly, what has helped you to come to your conclusion i.e 'Jesus is God in the flesh' ?

@beverlyharward9631 - And as "God in the flesh" he learned to obey somebody and since he wasn't perfect as God in the flesh he had to learn obedience from what he suffered so that he could become perfect since he wasn't already perfect. Hebrews 5:8,9 🤣😂 (logically the trinity is ridiculous!)
