Just thought I would share a little bit about why I watch these videos. I'm a neuropsychologist and I spend a lot of time alone writing up reports for people that I have tested in my practice. I like having videos like this playing while I work because it provides a nice level of background stimulation so i don't go looking for other distractions. I also simply love watching people work their craft, whether it's a tutorial or not. Just inspires me to keep working as well. So basically, I have your videos on to keep me company while I'm writing at night. Totally understand time and other personal limitations though. You do whatever feels right to you and just know that we are happy for anything, even if it's few and far between.
Brimstone Footsteps yes. So in my job, I do more testing than therapy. I look at whether people might have dementia or the effects from a stroke, brain injury etc. fairly different from the focus of a clinical psychologist without the neuro focus and the reason I spend so many hours writing reports.
Mike, good to see you again. You 'gotta' do what you 'gotta' do. Sorry to hear about your medical situation and the accident. Things will work out and look forward to any upcoming video's. Enjoyed Candice and her Frankenstein Boots. Thanks to John as well. I will give you a call soon. Mike keep in mind that we, your fans don't care if you do tutorials or just shine shoes. There is something about watching shoe shinning videos that we love. Good luck on your recovery. Lastly, thank your son for his service in the Navy. Your friend, fred berri
Mike I totally agree with what the Neuropsychologist said. I am a mental health and addictions counselor in Greensboro, nc. I like the education element, but simply watching you shine, your choice in music that matches the relaxing sounds of the shine process does so much to relive my stress. Heck it helps decrease some of my patients stress during anxiety attacks. So, don’t concern yourself with the particulars of the content of the videos. Just be you as you said and keep providing that excellent relaxing shine as you do. Your doing a world of good simply creating a relaxing space watching your talent for us that truly need it serving others as well. Thanks Alex
I enjoy Mr. Mike because he reminds me of a shoeshine man that I enjoyed watching and speaking too in downtown San Jose, CA (Bay Area) He used to have a shine shine stand in front of a Barbershop. I watched on a daily basis as I passed by after school. I learned enough to start my own mobile shoe shining business age 11 years old. I did odd jobs like picking up trash in a restaurant parking lot etc. and made enough money to buy polish and a brush, rags at the local Woolworth. My neighbor a carpenter made my shoe shine box out of scrap wood he had laying around and I was in business shining shoes. I got so good I had my own clients by appointment (on some days). I met up with bus drivers on their lunch break on 2nd and Santa Clara street downtown San Jose. Back then in the 70's most men wore leather bottom dress shoes, boots. I made good money plus tips for a kid. I was able to buy me "extras" like nice boots at Woolworth and presents for my mother (coffee pot, bicycle etc) If it wasn't for the shoeshine man that had the same good Spirit like Mr. Mike, in downtown San Jose, CA giving me his time and "teaching me" I would have never learned the Art. To this day I still Spit shine ALL my leather bottom dress, casual shoes and boots. I also started a small business (Hobby) selling Vintage dress shoes and others, before I sell them Online I Clean, Condition and Shine them up pretty for my customers. Thank you, Mr. Mike, I appreciate You, your personality, spirit, and company. I would love to hear old stories about your childhood etc. if you cared to share. You are a great storyteller. Angel from The Bay (Silicon Valley, Caliboy)
Just keep doing them Mike! We don't need a tutorial. Whatever you're comfortable with :) thank you for what you've shared so far. We love your videos a lot!
We all pray for your operation to be a success. We love u Mike. Your videos make us realize there are still good hard working people out there. Your personality makes the world a better place. You are an inspiration to us all.May God continue to bless u.
What an absolutely fantastic gem of a video series. Thanks Mike and John! Hope Mike gets well and takes care of that hernia! Look forward to the next video, whenever it might be
Mike I’m loving your videos. You are one cool dude. You have great skill and your super fun to listen to. Keep it real brother. Sending love from Tampa Florida.💙❤️💙❤️👍
Just do what you do, when you feel like doing it. Shining shoes only is fine, it's uplifting to see you do your magic, chat & snap the rag! I had hernia surgery, it's not bad. The day after was the hardest, got better as the week went on. Best wishes. Again, continue your vids at your pace, don't burn out on churning out volume. Simple shine and banter goes along way!
Mike I appreciate what u are doing with these videos having fun an all. It brightens my spirit watching the love you put in your work. And man do you with the videos I’ll just keep watching what’s on here until you decide to add more. You my boy keep up the good work dawg
I understand Mike that you need to take a break from the videos. These videos have been great. You do realize that during your hiatus RU-vid will be dominated by Shoeshiners who insist on wearing gloves and whispering..,hahaha. Best of luck with your surgery and get well soon.
Mike "720p" Wilson in the house. I had a triple hernia repair about 4 years ago at age 54 and didn't need pain meds afterwards...just took a little ibuprofen. It felt great to be able to lift heavy things again to impress the females. You look healthy and should recover quickly.
Mike, keep doing your thing gangster, best of luck with your surgeries. We appreciate the videos and seeing you practice your craft. I hope to one day get a shine by you my man! Haha keep up with good work and I look forward to whatever videos you may make in the future
Hey Mike, greetings from Texas! Do what you can with videos. I’m sorry that you’re bored with them, but we are not. Can we get a mailing address to send shoes for polishing.
Hi Mike!! I’d like you to explain what you mean when you say, “Haters make me greater!” I’ve heard you say that often on your videos. David J in Texas.
The beauty of RU-vid I came on here to look at one of my favorite podcasts and just so happened to run into these awesome videos. Keep up the good work I'll be looking forward to more. You just gained a new subscriber.
About time dude! Keep doing those videos! I start watching Jason Dornstar you know guy with gloves instead of you, there are other good shoe shiners but u are the best! So keep rolling those videos! Zman from Cleveland OH!
