I met Mike in a little bar just outside of St. Louis in Dec. 2000. I was so impressed with his ability to play all over the fretboard and sing simultaneously, I had to get his autograph. He, and the rest of his band, were very gracious and humble and signed the CD I bought from them. I've been a big fan of his ever since. This is a really good dude!
I saw him with RSB and Blues caravan in 2018 here in New jersey in a place that holds maybe 300. He stayed after the show, walked though the crowd and talked with everyone that wanted to. He's a man of the people for sure, no Rockstar attitude, very down to earth and very rare.
