In his mind He was already preparing for the Arsenal job. He went there to learn from one of the Best Managers, but I'm sure He was already planned and dreamt of the return and bring Arsenal back to its formal glory. What a story, legendary manager in the making.
I can see the pain on his eyes when his man city score against Arsenal back than..also pep always lower his excitement when stare at Arteta after the goal..true act by those 2 guys
He truly loves Arsenal. We are lucky to have him. Hope Arteta will get the glory days back to the Arsenal and specially I really want him to win a Champions league with Arsenal. #coyg❤
@@ekowhoward5530exactly, I swear every single time there's an argument with a Chelsea fan they keep going on about champions league this, super cup that. Meanwhile they don't seem to realise that they have the same amount of league titles as Sunderland lol. If we manage to win it that argument is dead, they'll have nothing over us and they know it
For Christ sake this guy was an Arsenal Captain for a long time during his time at Arsenal..so it’s no surprise he never celebrated a goal against Arsenal. He loves the club and has a huge respect for the club.
That goal was made by Arteta supposedly. He recognised Arsenal were leaving spaces just outside the box (we weren’t very compact defensively under Unai, especially early on and towards the end) and he told Sterling to shoot once he’s in the space, which is why pep and the other coaches appear to be congratulating Arteta specifically here
Arteta is a gunner through and through and Rio Ferdinand genuinely said he would move to United if he was given the chance, such a clown for a man. BIG Love for Arteta
@@TheCamvret As a player he was rock solid and rarely made mistakes. He came at a time when Arsenal was in shambles, defense was leaking and midfield was shoddy. Many of our top players were semi-permanently injured like Rosicky, Wilshere, Gibbs, Walcott, Chamberlain etc. Koscielny and Sagna were top class but they alone aren't enough for defense. Arteta came, slotted into that defensive midfield role and stabilized the whole midfield and defense. His solid playstyle and leadership helped a lot. He is not a flashy player but his presence was very impactful. In his debut season for Arsenal, he was voted fifth most impactful player for Arsenal.
Fast forward August 6, 2023 Arsenal beat Manchester City in FA Community Shield and on October 8, 2023 Arsenal beat Manchester City in the League for the first time since 2015 when Mikel Arteta use to played for Arsenal.
Lol the way guardiola gets happy and starts celebrating and always looking to arteta when they scored and his smile always drops when he see arteta ain’t to happy 🤣😂😂
You can tell his mind is elsewhere when playing Arsenal. Some forced reactions here as he was already dreaming of being on the touchline managing Arsenal. Dream, believe and he's achieved!
They will soon. It wasn't clear to see at 1st but now it's clear what Arteta has been doing since he became manager. He's been systematically routing out egos, laziness & selfishness in the team in favour of building a team of brotherhood/family because he knows that will eventually bring major success. This is why he did everything in his power to bring in Declan Rice because he saw the impact Gerrard had at Liverpool and Lampard/Terry had at Chelsea.
@@PeaceDweller 100% the rewards will come especially for the ones who believed in the man like I always believed him it was a rough at first but I had this feeling of something special is happening and behold 22/23
Amazing how he managed to restrain himself and refrain from jumping up and down for so long and so many times. His love for his old club seems to be real and genuine.
What's amazing is he did appreciate the goals of the team that he has been assistant managing, but not really celebrating them as they were against arsenal.
Inside his mind: I'll learn from you and make my team competitive again 👏👏. Arteta is the pure example of learn from people around you and don't announce your move.
It was obvious to everyone that he was preparing for the post of Arsenal coach. He was supposed to learn this business at the Arsenal headquarters, but then he decided to still gain experience from the best of the best. So no, Arteta's plans for the post of Arsenal coach were known to everyone, including Guardiola, which he spoke about in numerous interviews
When Pep called Arteta to be his assistant, Arteta knew he had to go to learn from the best, he was at City but his heart was at the Emirates. Lots of respect.
Had it not been for Cesc Fabrigas presence that prevented him joining Arsenal early, he'd have been a true legend player for us, which I'm he'll attain now as manager.
The man we need.. faithful and loyal to the club he loves although hes working for other team that time.. have huge respect for arteta as i love arsenal too. Thank you for bringing our spirit back arteta! We love u and support your plan! Be the best gunners!!
Mikel Arteta learned from 2 of the very best football managers in world football, Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola. I hope he stays at Arsenal for a very long time winning trophies.
He looked like he celebrated citys first goal in his last game as assistant manager. He left later that same month. Wonder if he ever celebrated against Everton. He played for them for a long time too
From a Madridista, keep this guy and give him some money to work in the transfer window! If you can't then sell the club to middle east because with this budget he won't be able to survive and at the end you'll all hate him! Zizou loves us like this but couldn't keep him 🥲
Everyone mentioning the few times he shows morcels of celebration better know he is celebrating a good job done. At 0:45 the goal probably stemmed from something Arteta implemented in training.
You can't celebrate when a team where your heart lies is beaten???!. He was best prayer at arsenal, a captain, a team leader and where he went to get B licence coaching course...he coached ARSENAL youth side before going to city.. how can he celebrate!!!!!. Impossible!!.
i was a fan of arteta when he was at everton, even before he got his number 10 shirt he was wearing a 6. he plays like an inverted winger or a CAM in those days until he came to arsenal, papa wengz trusted him to play the arsenal midfield pivot. i still remember reading back then that he took a paycut to join arsenal and everton wasn't even placed that badly back then, always top 6.
Yet he regularly celebrated, and sometimes wildly so, at scoring/winning against Everton. He obviously loved Arsenal the most amongst all of his clubs.
