Agreed. Koeman knew that Barca had to evolve their philosophy to place more emphasis on physicality, pace, differing forms of intensity, pure defending. Barca, from the club and fans, refused to listen. They value defenders who are good on the ball, over defenders who can actually defend. It's a philosophical issue. That's how you can end up with three quality CBs, who are all struggling now. Koeman was given no money to spend, even after Messi and Griezmann left. And he wasn't even given half a season from that point. Xavi was given over 250m Euros to spend and was able to get rid of the sacred cows. The club refused to acknowledge how bad the issue was, Koeman knew it, he tried to say it, but it fell on deaf ears. Now, after all of that, we'll have to sell in teh summer anyway and the new Manager will be left with nothing.

Pep won't come back with this financial condition. There is only one option now Arteta but I don't think he won't be coming unless he wins a league.

Why is Klopp discarded lmao. Klopp would be the ideal signing for them to rebuild, but he wouldn't take the job in the summer. They can appoint someone for a year take a gamble with Barca B coach if he is any good and then hope that Klopp would join a year later. @@Ivanovic5580 Who am I to discard them. It's about Barcelona's philosophy. In any situation, they wouldn't want the club's DNA to be changed. Klopp clearly doesn't play a possession style but if Barca's board is okay with it, they must go for it. That's why I said they are discarded for now, else the options are limited to Arteta, Miguel etc etc. I am sure you would be surprised if they appoint Mourinho or Conte or similar style of managers. They just don't do that.

@@MrKaravaj Marquez played in the back and Xavi in midfield area, so Marquez had seen the games clearer and could have a better tactical/ situational understanding of the matches because of that
