Very interesting ! I knew his sisters who created the very famous Gnessin Institut in Moscow ( for gifted chldren), but not him. I find it sounds like some jewish classical music, inspired by folklor. But the theme let me reminds of course ...Mahler. I have a Russian Jewish friend, whom grand grandmother created a school for young children in Moscow...though not dedicated to music...Thank you very much for this discovery !
