One of the few pianists who can read on the score things which nobody has seen before. I need artists like him as the air I breathe.

Oh, soooo true... After any Pletnëv's playing I can hardly listen to anybody else...

That scales under code amazing… probably the best coda interpretation, anyone disagree?

Maestro Pletnev plays Chopin’s Ballade No1 in G Minor with soulful inspiration. Helps me to get through the Corona Virus Pandemic.

Потрясающе! И очень красиво! Как всегда, он видит в нотах то, чего не видит никто

On the first listening, a Very tumultuous version of the music, that highlighted that this piece could be about the struggle and frustration one might face....same bleak feeling as in etude Revolutionaire. However the ending doesn't feel like a defeat. Will not go into what is correct or incorrect way of interpretation.

The depht of Pletnëv's interpretation is almost unbearable...

Bookmarked. So far, other interpretations bookmarked are by Horowitz and Cortot.

Pletnev is one of my favorites. I don't like what he does here. Nice audio quality.

Now the Pandemic is finished and GENIUS Mikhail Pletne still fills my soul with kindness as he performs Chopin so perfectly

Weirdly, whilst I think of Pletnev as usually incredibly precise, some sections here seem almost messy? I mean obviously that’s what he intended, but I don’t think I would’ve recognised him here if I didn’t know it was him. Doesn’t really seem to fit with the piece

Being Pletnev's great fan, here I have to admit that there was too much of him and too little of Chopin.

Excellent technique. But a capricious way of playing that, in my modest opinion, does not favor Chopin's work. I imagine a concert pianist playing like this for fun, after a few drinks.

A little too daring with the rhythm IMO.There are better interpretations out there (like Kissin).

An eccentric interpretation, almost as if played under duress.
