10 Gigabit SFP+ fibre connectivity way over a 100 meters - for small offices or ISPs. Hardware offloaded VLAN-filtering and even some L3 routing on a budget! An indoor variation of the prominent netFiber 9.
$70 more and you can run the CRS309 with all 10G ports and be more future proof. Would like to see a CRS3xx series version of the CRS112-8P-4S-IN but with 12 POE ports and 2 10G sfp+ and HWL3 offload. There is a big gap in the POE space between the CRS112-8P ($189) and CRS328-24P ($445). Especially with ROS7 I don't want to buy any new gear that isn't CRS3xx series. Don't know what others are doing, but I like a 8-12 port POE size switch for running security cameras and wireless APs in remote buildings, hard to justify the 2x cost of the 328 to leave it 50% empty.
I just bought this CRS310 for home lab because it's the newest product. However, when I started to use it today, I found that the 3x3cm Fan is crazy noisy. Thanks for the ultra small and very rare 3x3cm fan, I cannot find any replacement fan in the market for it!! I really have no idea why this CRS310 is not equipped with a regular 4x4cm fan so at least I can have some quiet fan such as Noctua fan to replace it? By the way, I cannot find any fan speed tunning method in the RouterOS gui of the CRS310. So what is your suggestion dealing with this noisy switch issue?
Greetings.. I acquired the product yesterday 12-17-22 and as always I work the crs in swos mode, in this it was impossible for me to start it in that mode. I almost lost the equipment and I had to use netistall to revive it. Now I ask, it's just to work with routeroS or is mine defective? I await Mikrotik's response
Being honest - Mikrotik is hard to get hold off. Most products are out of stock across Europe. You also don't have enough poe switches. Need to sort that before releasing even more products! :(
