For many, ice cream, pizza and Italy go hand in hand. Now the northern city of Milan has plans to ban the sale of these famous Italian foods late at night. The city’s council is considering the move because of complaints about noise from local residents. Critics of the plan say it will damage local businesses.

Don't worry, it's just an ordinance that prohibits takeaway sales after midnight in certain areas of the city. I live in Milan and last night I ate an excellent pizza!

I agree. Gelato is delicious. No one wants to damage such a business. They are just trying to meet local people's complaints about night noises and such stuff. Be sure we'll have plenty of homemade gelato. 😅

Click bait! Certain places have been banned from providing, after midnight, take away foods that are consumed in the street because of residents complaining about noise levels. BTW gelato is not the same as the ice cream in the UK and elsewhere.

I clicked on this video to find out why they are banning ice cream in Milan and got a great English lesson! 😂 I'm born in US and these are very common terms but I've really never thought about what they really mean or how it can be confusing to non native English speakers.

War on makes it sound like there's an epicly huge struggle that's been going on in depth for months and years with tons of attorneys tirelessly fighting day in and day out with tons of money being put into this and loads of protests.
