I am so glad you are doing this series. So many people just put it on and say how much they love it and then never update us or anything. I think most are just putting foundation on and then taking it off immediately or maybe just a few hours later. I have to wear my foundation for 10+ hours on a daily basis.
It's so interesting to me that so many people dislike this foundation and it doesn't work at all on them when it's my holy grail. It makes my skin look so perfect and it lasts really well. Like it's one of the few foundations I put on and never have to worry about whether it's going to look good first applied or wear well. I hate that it doesn't work for so many others, but that's the thing with makeup I suppose. 🤷🏻♀️
I've been using this foundation for a month now and I'm loving it! It lasts all day on me and still looks pretty fresh after a long day. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do!
I adore this foundation... with a sponge. It is a bit too heavy for my liking with a brush or fingers. It wears really well for me but does start to feel makeup-y after a few hours. I use shade 00B which does oxidize a tad on me but ends up looking pretty spot on. It is actually one of the only foundations that (when I do set it) doesn’t rub off where my glasses sit. It’s not a choice for a long day because it does get pretty heavy feeling, but I do like it for when I need to look good. I actually wore this to my first college graduation.
same opinion!!! i clicked once i woke up and saw the title cause i was really curious if u have the same issues i had with this foundation.seemed like everyone around me raved about it, while i had those problems. i have combo skin leaning more to the dry side and for my surprise it emphasized my pores separated on my dry areas and added more texture where i didn't have already. with a bonus that it never blended into my skin, it always sat on top of it as a mask. thanks for your honesty, lots of love sweetie
I have the same issue with this foundation, at first it looks great i love the coverage but at the end of the day i look super oily and so many patches around my nose and forehead
Thanks for taking the hit for us, Emily! I've been watching all the vids in this series so far and it seems like the cheapest (and easiest to access) foundation is the clear winner :) my wallet is very happy - ill be trying Catrice HD foundation next, whenever I run out of my current one
It breaks up for me around my chin too. I have dry skin and I get so greasy with this foundation. I stopped using it for awhile because I was annoyed. But I started using it again and tried using an elf primer first and it helped so much with it breaking up and I wasnt as greasy!
I've heard such conflicting opinions on this one... some ppl swear by it, some have issues with it... I have the Milani Prep Set and Go powder, which is my current favorite for my under eyes... XO
I found this foundation so thick and it broke up after 5h, not to mention that their 00B Light shade was so peachy instead of yellow. I decluttered it after using it twice 😷 I hope you're going to include a Rimmel foundation, I've always liked the Match Perfection!
About NW20 I think MAC shades tend to be quite yellow in general and I'm pretty neutral so I think it's what suits me the most (closer to NW15 during winter!)
Most foundations separate on my skin but with a good primer i can wear Milani and it looks decent i love the new shades 00A and 00B i use both depending on the season.
Allo Emily ! Merci! 🌸
It did the same thing to me! It was so sticky and I felt so gross after using it. By the way, thank you for these videos...and the up close. Sometimes when I watch make up videos I feel really bad because I cant have that perfect finishing and because of these videos that you are making, I’ve realized that uo close the skin isnt as flawless as some beauty gurus tend to make us believe. Now that I see how similar pur skin type tend to be...I think I might try the Catrice one. Are you going to do the la girl Pro Matte?
I agree with you Emily, I didn’t like it for the same reason. Too oily and it wouldn’t set. I would be blotting all day and it would move around even when I powder after applying it. It’s a pass for me.
They do have a few shades that are lighter than the 00 shade that you got! The 00 Light Natural shade is for light skin with peach undertones. There is also 00A Porcelain (fair skin with neutral/pink undertones) 00AA Ivory (fair skin with pink undertones) 00B Light (fair skin with yellow undertones) 00BB Nude (fair-light skin with neutral undertones) Hope that helps any of the fair skin beauties out there, interested in this foundation! 🙂❤️
BeautywithEmilyFox I did realize that after I watched it a bit longer. LOL. But still decided to leave my comment up, in case anyone was wondering what the shades and undertones were! 🙂 I have been loving this little series!
The only way this worked for me was mixing it with mac strobe cream and then setting my face with loose powder and a beauty blender, otherwise it an oily cakey mess. I have combination skin. if you wana make this work maybe try it that way.
I hate this foundation. Looks heavy on my skin and after a few hours it completely separates. The end result is awful. I have never had an issue with other foundations as bad as this one.
