This is why I love this case. Edgeworth doesn't embody Phoenix's bluffing, he's still the same smartass we know and love. But seeing that kind of snark from the defense? A rare treat, and a welcome one.
He can scrutinize every single thing in his presence and still find out who or what is the thing that was what the real perpetrator was hiding. He can read people and evidences as if you can read a book. He's just your own everyday prosecutor after all. If Phoenix Wright was the prosecutor, Edgeworth would probably be the only one who can match him.
He still does the bluffing. The bluffing isn't because Pheonix is stupid, it's because that's how he breaks down the witnesses lies, with so little information. It's the way he can get more evidence. It's just Edgeworth is drastically calmer about it, and doesn't drop every bit of self confidence at the first problem, to wait 5 minutes for some desperate find.
As if playing as young Mia wasn't already a treat having edworth as defense attorney was magical. Its the closest thing to Miles Investigation prequel. Now if only they localize Miles Investigation 2.
@@remicou8420 there needs to be a preemptive threat for it to be assault and battery however you could play assault with a deadly weapon (if it wrapped around your throat it’ll strangle you)
Deffo my favorite part of AA3. I love both the Trial and Investigation part as Edgeworth; Really great chemistry with Gumshoe. And he's rather straight laced, yet his inner monologues are as dumb as Phoenix's, no wonder they're friends. And during Trial, he's always on the offensive it's really great to see
@@jatarokemuri5443 I mean the thing is, mechanically, a good ace prosecutor is going to act like Edgeworth does during the investigations games. They shouldn't bring a case to trial that they doubt. While edgeworth certainly stands up for people he believe are innocent in his games, his core objective is to find the real perpetrator. Phoenix's goal is to defend his clients, but the mechanics of the game means he has to prove who the real criminal is in order to get them off.
@@vero-zv9im When has Manfred ever acknowledged Miles as his son? Also that relationship is voided because Manfred only took him in so he could further disgrace him and his father.
1:54 Oh, so Now they talked about her Whip... Surprised that Edgeworth didn’t mind about the whip... On the other hand, I don’t think she whipped Edgeworth. And even if she did, it must be very rarely since I don’t remember.
She whips him on a few occasions in the AAI spin-offs, but not as much as other characters who’ve been on the receiving end of her whip in the past. (Wright, Gumshoe, etc.).
@@Zack_Zander she whipped him quite a lot in the investigation spin-offs, but it's still nowhere near to how much she whipped phoenix and gumshoe although i just think that why franziska doesn't whip edgeworth much is obviously because they're siblings. i mean, the first time we saw edgeworth got whipped was in 3-5. franziska knew about edgeworth's fear of earthquakes, and she whipped him once to force him to take a rest since he insisted to continue investigating when he still hadn't recovered from the earthquake that occurred.
"I have no objection to the whip." "You don't?" "No, it's pretty hoooo- I mean, the prosecution can wield a whip or drink seventeen cups of coffee, at the end of the day there is only one truth." *Good save Edgeworth* Jokes aside, I actually really like that line.
@@Zack_Zandermiles still was a foster child to the von karmas, and manfred was most likely his new legal guardian since he doesn’t mention any other family members aside from his parents who are… well, you know. miles and franziska basically grew up as siblings.
I felt like it was a fitting addition to Edgeworh's story since his father was a defense attorney and he was planning to be one himself (until his father was murdered)
Although it can be considered to be "fired" I prefer saying that it's a resignation, considering when took it and putted on the desk to finally say "consider this my resignation."
The "Canadian" Judge is actually the usual Presiding Judge's younger brother (presumably living in Canada in the localization). And Sister Bikini is really more of a nun (name-wise) and named after the Pali term "bhikkhunī" or in blunt terms, a buddhist nun. But then again, her name is probably an alias.
I LOVED playing as Edgeworth, the only thing missing was that same smug pointing to his head sprite when he presented the updated autopsy report. I guess that's more of a "heel" move for him, but I kept hoping to see it lol idk why.
@@somegenericscpnu-7soldier270 Phoenix changed careers only to make sure Miles was alright, Miles talked about certain unnecesary feelings when he saw Phoenix, they are gay af in the anime, Miles travelled 14hrs just to see and make sure Phoenix was alright, the manga is also gay af, they both were based on yaoi characters since the staff of AA really likes yaoi (Which i really don't like since Yaoi is usually just steriotype, but Miles and Phoenix do seem good together since they don't follow crappy steriotypes) was willing to defend Edgeworth no matter what and was determined to prove that he is innocent in both cases in AA1 [case 4, DL-6 incident]. After the first part of case 4 Gumshoe said that Miles couldn't stop talking about Phoenix when he was defending him, and the list GOES ON... TAKE THAT!
@@phoenix-cd1yw *OBJECTION!* I have a counter to each of those points. Changing careers, Edgeworth inspired Phoenix to be a lawyer by acting as one. Unnecessary feelings, he said immediately after that they were of unease and uncertainty, not gayness. The anime and manga being gay, I have not watched them but we are talking about the games, not them. 14 hour flight, they were very good friends as stated in the original comment. Finally, just because the AA staff liked yaoi does not mean that the AA characters are based off of yaoi ones. Finally, even if they were based off of yaoi characters, that does not mean that they are gay. So, anything else? Or has the bird ran out of worms? (Also that last line there was, indeed, a pun based on the name of Phoenix)
@@somegenericscpnu-7soldier270 OBJECTION! tsk tsk tsk. unease and uncertainty: those feelings are what describes best love. People that fall in love with someone they dont expect to are most likely to feel that way, second, Phoenix said that he became a lawyer to see how Edgeworth was feeling since he knew the only way he could see him again is by becoming a lawyer, and, foolish you! you just proved my point by saying that Edgey encouraged Phoenix, that is, *gay af* Even if we havent talked about the manga and the anime they are still gay af and have certain conection to the games so it must be mentioned Last but not least, the staff is the one that said that they based the characters off yaoi, and secretly *shipped them* (this is actually real tho the staff said they did ship em) therefore yeah, you are wrong in that part buddy.
I'd just like to point out the incredibly subtle pun, "a surplus of hoods". A surpl*ice* is a kind of clerical vestment, and the word is pronounced with a short i, so it sounds a lot like "surplus".
From the hospital TV, I guess. And he was probably laughing his a$$ off seeing Edgeworth put up with Larry while agreeing every time he insulted the guy.
Despues de esto, pense que en miles edgeworth investigations edgeworth hiba a ser abogado defensor pero el juego me esta encantado (estoy apunto de terminarlo)
At first I thought this was gonna be an Objeciton.lol thing, but I quickly noticed the menu buttons in the botton-left and knew this wasn't Objection.lol (it doesn't have those, and is also 4:3 ratio).
