Rhino is surprisingly smart in this scene. I mean, smart because he managed to psychologically manipulate someone. Stupid because he did it at the worst possible time for his own safety😅
@@frizzy529 I meant I like how it stays as the suit you choose when your mask was off, because on spider man ps4 when Peter took his mask off it reverted to the “advanced suit”
“I didn’t want you to worry” Peter said this to Aunt May before she dies and Miles says it to his mom. Being Spider-Man is a pretty dangerous job, it’s honestly understandable that both of them don’t want their loved ones to worry about them, and for both Spider-Men it’s enough pressure as it is. But it’s nice that once both of them know their secret identity, they support them and are proud of the men they’ve become.
@@mriddley ive read an argument that NOT telling your family can be dangerous or straight up irresponsible. I think the Spider-verse movies are probably going for this angle
@asdfoifhvjbkaos To me, the only way Miles in the movie can save his dad is to hurry home and tell him and his mom his identity just like Gwen did with her dad, I know different and intense situation, but It got him to quit his position.
it would be much more difficult for Miles to keep his identity a secret. Unlike Peter, Miles had always been way more social than Peter ever was at his age. Miles has a presence in his neighbourhood, always talking to everyone. But even so, Peter had: Aunt May (who knew his secret) and MJ mainly, and also Otto. Miles has Rio, Ganke and Phin. All import people to both of them got to know their identity (even if it wasn’t on purpose). And some people from Miles’ neighbourhood, which adds something new to the whole thing: people knowing who he is but somehow caring enough for him to not tell anyone. it’s heartwarming, really.
i think another factor is the differing dichotomies between the spider-men and their alter egos. peter at his heart is a quiet, well-mannered man, who puts on a quippy heroic persona when out doing hero stuff. meanwhile miles acts relatively similar both in and out of costume since he was already charismatic to begin with
@@toastwings9358 true and that charisma and friendliness makes it hard to keep his power a secret, and is what also makes the ppl who know more likely to keep it themselves
Rio: What are you wearing? Miles: I have to tell you something Miles: I don't know why but I run at a different frame rate than everyone and this weird comic text appears when I fight
To be honest, Peter Parker’s parents are both dead, so he doesn’t have anyone super close to him all the time like family. That might be why he was able to keep his identity a secret for so long.
@@princesssmileyface91 he didn’t tell her because when uncle ben died he felt it was because of him and his powers, so he is afraid to tell the ones he cares about in fear of them being harmed again
one thing he did better than peter was he told his family something peater sees in him when he looks at him is what he should have been but miles reminds him he is his own spider man and what he did wasnt wrong its amazing

I like how this game actually designs the game to adapt to whatever suit you're wearing, not just the actual suit part but you can see the ITSV mask on the table designed exactly how it is. Hoping they do the same with the sequel to Peter's game!
Rio: “what happened and what are you wearing?! Miles: “Yeah We went to this comic con and there is a nasty brawl. I got caught in it by accident” Yeah I don’t think this excuse would work lol 😆
Yea like how is this mom going to react to her little boy being a hero and a man this whole time…and Miles is low key my favorite Spider-Man and and I can quite put my finger on why..
I love how the camera slowly pans over to Jeff’s picture when Rio tells Miles there’s nothing he could do to make her stop loving him. Hits hard every time I see it.
Miles is worse at keeping his identity, but to be fair, he’s only 17. He needs his support system. Peter did start out young but his circle is smaller, and he’s an adult, so it would be easier for him to keep the secret.
It's always so strange to me that people get so bent out of shape when they find out the hero was someone they knew that didn't tell them lol. Like of course they didn't tell you, don't you get you're a walking liability to them once you know??? How is this never a part of their thought process? They just go straight to entitlement lol.
@@EmptyMan000 It's a tad selfish and childish when the safety of an entire city is said reason though. Not to mention, once you know, you now have to deal with the burden of never slipping up and mentioning it to anyone for any reason at any time. I'd rather be blissfully unaware, that way I don't have to perform the whole juggling act of lying to everyone I know just to cover for someone else I'm not "supposed" to know. Plus, knowing is dangerous. Once you know, you become potential leverage for a bad guy that wants to use you to get to the hero. It's an inevitability, even the Joker eventually found out who Batman was and who was connected to him, and we saw what came of that. Not pretty.
@Mint ironically, you don’t have the basic brain functioning to spell “you’re” correctly, along with the fact that you never named a context or fact proving this statement is “dumb” which is basically putting a title on something without reason. That’s probably one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard. So congratulations. You’ve managed to Embarrass and insult yourself without even scratching the surface of your target.
I didn’t realize with the spider verse suit instead of the eyes closing more and opening them get bigger or shrink like in the movie that’s awesome lol
We rarely see a Spider-Man who can talk about being Spider-Man and have actual excuses for stuff like missing school or disappearing with their parents so I’m really glad to see this happen now with miles and his mom
What’s funny is a lot of the time, Spider-Man (any Spider-Man) believes that their family would want them to stop being Spider-Man if they found out A good family would try to make him stop, but the best families are the ones who understand that it can’t stop
I get Netflix Daredevil vibes from watching this. Miles is just a kid trying to protect his city. I got him up to level 4. I have to start playing again. It’s been too long.
6:57 if you look closely at ganke's computer, you can see an application that has the spiderman logo on it. if you get the game on pc, thats the exact logo you see on the desktop
Nobody seems to notice how Rio's arm cast (4:58) disappears in the next scene (5:15) and then reappears when you see her with the crew out in the street when the Nuform reactor is going critical.
