Yo-Yo Ma is an American cellist. Born and partially raised in Paris to Chinese parents and educated in New York City, he was a child prodigy, performing from the age of four and a half. He graduated from the Juilliard School and Harvard University and attended Columbia University and has performed as a soloist with orchestras around the world. He has recorded more than 90 albums and received 19 Grammy Awards.

As a Metallica fan.. I think she killed it with this reimagining.. and she threw in some grit in her voice to pay homage to the metal roots! Great cover for sure! And awesome review guys!

Miley is incredibly amazing, I reflect even to her older albums and still listen to them from can’t be tamed to her recent albums, In my eyes she’s the princess of pop, I love Michael Jackson he’s like King to me Then Lady Gaga is like Queen of pop to me, then Miley Cyrus is princess of pop and Tom Grennan is prince of pop !!! Legends !!!

The drums make this song. It brings out everything else so much. He chose an awesome way to play this song.

You should check out some of her concert shorts. It seems like she is really finding her true path with rock and her showmanship on stage reminds me of Freddy (may he rest). Really such a joy to see this aspect of her.

Yo-yo Ma is a great American cellist. Last year he worked in a strings quarter which released an amazing album called Not our first goat rodeo - yes, I'm trying to convince you to check it out, not on the channel, but in general because I love him and the CD has not only instrumental songs. Anyway, what a cover! Her voice is amazing and unique; Miley is insanely talented and passionate - you can dislike her music, but must appreciate how she sings. Johnny knows I really like this cover but when it came out I told him I strongly prefers the original version cause I couldn't feel the drama, its heaviness not from the musical point of you, but emotionally. Well, the more I listen to this ones, the more I guess I was wrong.

I've never seen you guys before, but I absolutely LOVE the way you play off each other! Your chemistry is *so* funny; it reminds me strongly of my best friend and I. Okay, so, I'm just as big of a fan of classical music as rock, and I can tell you that Yo Yo Ma is basically the world's most famous and talented cellist. That's his cello playing you hear in the "violin" parts of this track. Honestly, he's SO big in the classical space, I was more shocked and thrilled that freaking YO YO MA was on this track than I was about Elton John!! And Elton IS a god! Also, I wasn't even a fan of Miley's before Midnight Sky and this cover! Her voice surgery made her voice *perfect* for rock. Okay one more thing, because I know you'll probably never read down this far: as a 22-year-old chick, I have to say, Nathan you are *exactly* my type. Good GOD you're attractive. New to #MileyCyrus (hopefully written right). Had thought, only #Anastacia would be worth listen to, of all those #LadyGaga generation type of singers. Probably #Rihanna.
