I thought the story went that it was down to her and Taylor Momsen, the little actress, Cindy Lou Who, from 'The Grinch' with Jim Carrey. Later she played Jenny on 'Gossip Girl'. Now she's the lead singer for the rock band 'The Pretty Reckless'. It was down to her and Miley Cyrus, and that they picked Miley because they liked the chemistry between her and her dad, and they invited him to play the dad role on 'Hannah Montana'. Now the story has changed.

The final choices for playing Hannah Montana were definitely Miley Cyrus and Taylor Momsen I remember Taylor also talking about this years ago and how her music today probably would have been different had she gotten the Hannah Montana role
