I agree with you that the content here is good - editing a video like this isnt super hard, by any means, just very time consuming as you say. Editing videos rewards people with an eye for good entertainment and discipline to see the project through - but its worth nothing without good source footage. "You can sprinkle gold dust on a pile of shit, but it will still be a pile of shit" Here's the editing process simplified: You basically layer the recordings on top of eachother and then choose which one shows when. what takes time and SKILL is knowing when to cut and choosing what clips will be shown. Most likely they have a lot of recorded footage where it isnt this good/entertaining, or they arent as funny, or it isnt as intense - which they (or just him, D) have to go through and pick the best parts. There also often has to be some sort of context in the episode, like: the group goes from nothing to full geared holding up in a house making a last stand. A story of sorts. Not a requirement, but just something that doesnt make you feel confused as to what the hell this was about. final note, just to make it clear: Node videos are great. great source footage provides a great final result.
