I just can't believe how nice the barracks for junior enlisted look now compared to the 80's when I was in. His barracks room is nicer than my bachelor officers quarters were as a 2nd Lieutenant. So funny.

Funny how the baracks has changed from the 40s to the 80s :P Tech and everything is advancing at an increased rate. This includes living accomodations. TBH, one of the few things in the military that i agree with on this topic is "train for the worst" IMHO military "initiates" should after 3 months, spend 1 year in improvised shelters and in "worst case scenarios" (the 3 months to prepare for it...) "Suffer with supervision, so that you can be comfortable when it is hard"

Im in the Bundeswehr. (the german army) It took me a minute to actually believe that this is your room in the barracks. Our rooms dont even have their own bathroom or cooking utensils. Absolutely crazy, i might be really jealous.

Eggs, Real Bacon Bits, Spinach leaves, bell peppers amd onions. Mix all that in a bowl pop it in the microwave for 2 min or so and boom you got an omelet

When I was in the Army I worked noon until midnight shift. I sleep in till about 9:30 eat chow and did pt until 11:00 and reported for shift change at around 11:45

Different with indonesian army,we indonesian army wake up at 2:30 am an star day with training,and after training at 4:30 we star subuh prayer (muslim only) we star eat at 5:30 am the menu is (sayur mayur)and fish and milk and at 8:40 - 10 :00 training again and at 11:55 star prayer dzuhur (muslim only)
