It’s not worth dying for a country that arms the next opposition in conflict. Afghanistan, 2500+ dead soldiers for what for decades? The USA left enough equipment at Bagram airfield to arm the next radical Muslim brigades. Because of the decisions of the President and VP, along with CoC. More recruits are being setup to die if the defend a base near that region. Best part is there is no court martial or accountability for that from leadership, just same drivel saying sign up to fight. Rifles, helicopters, BTRs, Tanks, and humvees, all American made or important repaired with Communist parts.

I can almost guarantee you will be away from your family the most in the Navy💀however from what I’ve seen they’re the best for retirement/getting in and out
If I knew 20 years ago that our country would be pushing for companies to develop AI, which devalues human labor and makes it impossible for humans to survive, I would never have joined. As long as our country supports AI, we the people are outright fucked.
honestly , my recruiter has been great, hes been straight forward, and he did in fact get me an extra 5k on my already 13k or so bonus, got my MOS (11x) and then headed to ranger school a little after ait, doing that for 5 or so years, then my goal is to get into maybe psyops or counter intelligence, but if not will be okay with going the SF route, my recruiter wasnt agressive with his tactics and as far as lying , he has done little to none of it.
Im 18 years in and im treated like a child at the same time i currently do the job of 4 people because they meaning leadership wont give me the resources to get the job done bit then at the same time i have to send an email to ask to go to the bathroom it is sad i would never tell anyone to join the military and if i would have known it was going to be like this at 18 years in i would run for the hills

im shipping out on the 16th. i chose 74D (CBRN), and it had the option for Airborne + Ranger. im feeling worried CBRN isnt the best choice. i really wanted to do MP but Airborne or Ranger wasn't available with that
Chicago weather is much more brutal than upstate New York. We get hotter summers and colder winters. We used to walking around in -10 during the winter.
