Keep up the great videos Jameson we need the core back in our military we need soldiers not ticktock’s and the military gets embarrassed to lower the education standard and restrict those who need the structure but they aren’t embarrassed to do what they been doing and promoting the cringey people that they promote
If you join the military you are no longer a autonomous. You are literally government property. Also, they brain wash you through reputation, sleep deprivation, and negative reinforcement. Wars are only flight by poor people. Rich people fund wars, like Raytheon, or Lockheed Martin, etc. It is a scam. Too many homeless vets. It’s cool if you don’t get stationed in Iraq and you somehow get an easy ride, but that takes luck. If you use the military to learn a trade for free, and then intentionally get dishonorably discharged then that would be smart. It’s like free school but you’d have to be dishonorable to achieve that. If this country was a constitutional republic, instead of a socialist leaning democracy, then it would be worth sacrificing for. If the constitution is not followed to the “T” in this country, then who cares about a corrupted version of this country. It’s only worthwhile to fight for freedom, and it’s stupid to fight for globalist/ (UN) agendas. Yes any agenda will be disguised as good for you, but that’s just because think tanks are really good at what they do. If it’s not a military fighting for a constitutional republic, sovereign, free USA, but instead it’s a military supporting corporate interests along with political BS. So all those peoples excuses are dumb because joining the military is a sacrifice and it’s only worth joining the military if it’s worth the sacrifice. Today it’s not worth it because the law of the land, administration, open boarders, getting involved with other countries wars, disregard of the constitution in lower courts, and the degradation of American culture make it very stupid to join the military. If you are power hungry, want authority, want to get into politics, or get access to military grants then atleast u have some goals you can achieve through the military. US needs more militias bc the military is for the gov and our gov is sour at the moment. Hopefully this all changes though. It wasn’t always like this.
That's the problem though; the current system is making less people join. If you're going to have volunteers give up something they have to get something back that's valuable to them in return or they'll not join and not retain
@@van3158 Recruiters will tell you that those dont sell as well as they use to. And those who are in also arent re-uping. Veterans and active duty are both saying what sorts of things need to change but nobody with any authority in gov seems to be listening.
The first black girl was actually stating reasons that people give for not joining the military and she was debunking their excuses by saying, "you say you don't want to go to war but you'll be a thug on the streets"
@@OneEyedCloud01 your missing the point. The point is sh wasn't speaking to a wider audience. Just read the quote in the OP. Does that sound like she was speaking to a wide audience.
To translate. She was telling people to drop that attitude and do what you joined to do. She was saying join to get out of the bad life that you're in now that is bring you or your family down to drastically break the cycle. She was stating don't be afraid about war if your already out doing war like stuff in the streets now.
That last guy killed me. Says he's been counseled for TikTok videos in the past, and decides it's a great idea to make another one shitting on the military.
Counseled in the past, continued behavior, sounds like he's looking at a field grade Article 15. That could mean loss of up to 2 grades, fined half your pay for two months, 45 days of extra duty and restrictions... is it worth it?

Something the military taught me is do your research. Also, don't go in without a plan and make the military work for you as much as you can before signing contracts. Think of where you wanna be in 10yrs and see what the military, or which branch will help you along the best. Seems like these people had a point of view of entitlement and didn't expect to be put in their place.
My son joined the Army at 19. He was pushing carts at Walmart. His friends went to college, he decided that wasn’t for him. Long story short, after asking to be inside the store and turned down he joined. 10 years later, the military was the best thing for him at the time. He left a boy and came back a very respectable man. We are so proud of him.

If you capitalize on the situation while in the military, you can either use it as a reference for future employment, or stay in till you retire. The problem is many don't see like that and never join. Many don't capitalize while in.
the military was always viewed as a stepping stone for enlisted. It was something to start with, get a skill and have a nice motch on the resume when they got out. Employers and college take veterans status into account when hiring or admitting. For a 18 to 22 year old, having that time in the military on a resume is going to help that person get a good job or entry into a school. If someone wants to make the military a career, then they go to an Academy. You need to put time in to get something back.
@@davereiland9921aren’t they highly educated though, since the process is highly stressful and intensive or I’m probably confusing them with something else.
A draft would be hilarious. If you want to see fighting, try to force folks to side with America's tyrannical government. I'd imagine, at least half the country, doesn't approve of what the government does. Like infringing on our rights. Also there's a lack of confidence. America hasn't won a war since the 40s.
It was threatened recently. Wait till they see how many would rather go to jail than sign up. Cuz in jail they also get free meals, housing and health care.
It's inevitable, especially my generation. We all felt like a slave in some point or complained too much. Once we are out, we have a bad taste of it . Acces to info is more available than ever before
Man you really let that cold war propaganda influence how you think. You're trying to Americanize these world leaders that probably understand how Americans think, but they have too much pressure on them than to engage in nonsense.
use the military for what it is. think of one enlistment and get all you can from it. there is a lot to get for your benefit IF you engage with the programs. learn to navigate it.
These kids have grown up in a nation that is always fighting needless wars to enrich the military industrial complex. They come back home with moral injury, commite suside in large numbers, homeless, on drugs and poor. while defense contractors are making billions. our wars are not defensive wars but forever wars to make political and the MIC rich.
Moral injury, suicide, drugs, homelessness, poor? These "kids" already have that before the Military. If you are a parent saying this then you are responsible for the way these "kids" are by giving them options and giving them everything they want. Walk in our boots for three years and then have something to say
These kids seem to have a vastly over inflated sense of self worth. When jumping out of moms house, you bring absolutely nothing to the table. It’s the military that actually gives you something to bring to the table.
@@John-i9l2x fighting wars is and always has been the main purpose of the military, that’s nothing new. Out of curiosity, where are we engaged in trench warfare?
Well they go to school … the military also only trains you up on what is applicable to them and takes your rights away then you either realize your useless without the military and leave for school or sell your soul to them. Both situations are now publicly known through social media and it’s a good thing. Make that decision early… go to school!
He must be in the dark ages because he’s worried about the guy giving his name tag yet we know it in today’s technology your picture is enough to identify you so either way who cares if your name tag is there obviously he doesn’t know new technology
6:55 She is absolutely correct. Car dealers do exploit military members in particular. Military does exploit you and some people don’t even notice because they have Stockholm syndrome.
@puggy4207 - Because most young soldiers don't have established credit. The on-post credit unions can only help but so much, even with the best of young buyer programs. So, for those who are willing to take on the risk of approving the loan, there is a price to pay. Unless it's a buy here, pay her, the dealerships are not the one's "screwing over" the soldiers. The banks have to put protections in place in order to protect their interest. And unfortunately, over the decades, they have been screwed by military members. There are two sides of the story.
They need to reach them too by good used cars and maybe have a trusted dealer they can use. Lets face it, it is a rare woman who knows anything about cars but how start it and drive it as fast as it will go. And very few more men are any better unless they have been taught. If EV's ever get good enough to get into the market, they will be much worse.
@@rodwoods2108 - The dealership is not the issue, and in reality the used car market is not better than buying new, as long as one sticks to a realistic gameplan. New cars can get an interst rate (this was before the interst rate increase) below 10%. Used cars unless you have great credit, is going to be over 10%. Then with warranties, their is a reduction if you are the 2nd owner as opposed to be the original owner. The problem is getting young people with money to understand there is nothing wrong with buying a base model and buying what one needs and not what the like, even if on paper it seems like one can afford it, because as the months tack on, one really couldn't.
My 19 yr old grandson joined the Marines last year. He loves it and is proud to serve. He's learning a skill that will make him employable when he gets out. And they are the least woke of all the branches
There are zero skills that you get from the military that make you a good employee. It's the complete opposite it teaches you bad coping mechanisms and irrational view on life. Most people don't think the way the military does. OIF veteran here.
Sounds pretty fucking ignorant if you ask me. We can't win, you hate them for tearing down this country and for serving this country, that's a damn shame
Most of these TikTok posters seem to have the same problem…they did not join the military to “serve”, they joined expecting the military would serve them. All success requires hard work. It’s not about working hard than others and having the same rank. It is about being better than those in the same rank, being respected as such, and having pride in your own performance. The military is not a place to be selfish. It can be hard on you and your family for reasons that are just inherent to any military. Hard work, average pay, time deployed, possibility of combat, following orders, being squared away in uniform, etc. You should expect all of that before you sign your contract and then do your best while you are in. Leave when your contract is up if being in the military just isn’t your thing, but leave with your head held high.
More people would join to serve if they saw reasons to be proud and have respect for what our military does around the world today. People don't like what we are doing. And there has been no new threats since 9/11 to inspire them to join to protect our own countries soil. So there lacks a purpose for people to want to go serve. They don't feel like what our goverment is doing is helping to actually protect anything we value as a people but just to serve the industrial complex and make billionairs who have military contracts richer. 🤷♂️
@@theCranesUS Sure, but the real problem is you dont know what you are signing up for. Unless you know someone that is in and somehow had a similar career track that you will have, you are going in blind. The recruiters have interesting turns of phrase. I've come to realize that in this day and age, joining the military isn't worth it. Oddly enough, the people that do advocate for people to join have never been in themselves, and don't plan to be.

You can get rich by living by your means. Had a fellow instructor in the Navy that was a E7 that always lived on E5 pay. He was an investor and a millionaire and always worked a second job. Living paycheck to paycheck is also a lifestyle choice in the military and yes the military has always been low paying.
That's solid frugality and work ethic. "Live within your means like you are two grades lower, work like you are two grades higher. Fast track tyo burnout, or just a frame of mind? You decide. I'm not you."
Anybody working at McDonald’s for that matter can get wealthy by saving and putting into stocks and investments so don’t see the point in your statement

Life is about sacrifices. A lot of these young folks joined right after high school. Some of them are so entitled. They want to get paid and not do the work. They think the military has to follow their rules made up in their minds. The military isn't for everyone. If you don't like it, do your time and get out. Thank you for those who honorably served, sacrificed their lives, serve.
Sacrifice for what? There's not much of a country left to fight for, and no competent leadership to make that sacrifice worthwhile. Remove political nonsense from the officer corps immediately.
The 3rd person is the mindset of most of the young people in the general work force. "Yall don't pay me enough" and then do the bare minimum. Then wonder why they never get raises and bitch about that.
Go into the military for only that reason ….going into the military. By going in you’ll obtain a level of maturity far exceeding your peers. You’ll go to places, see things you’d otherwise not see in a lifetime. You’ll have responsibilities for people and equipment that cost into the $thousands/$millions while your contemporaries will be wiping tables.
They got the education they needed, picked the right MOS and got the test scores necessary to qualify for that desk job. You may be able to train for another MOS if the command allows it but it means putting in the extra effort not doing as little as you can.
Minimum effort is her enemy. She will continue to get that pay. Maybe she doesn't realize that there are only a given number of promotions allowed a month, and they aren't going to give it to a "minimum effort" enlisted.
As enlisted, the quality of your life will depend on the competence and quality of your Commander, XO and 1st Sergeant. As a civilian, your boss is not normally involved in your life outside of work, but in the military, you belong to your boss 24/7. And the quality of officers at all levels can vary greatly. And you have no say in who your Commander and XO is. Plus, you signed a contract, so you can’t quit and walk away. Say goodbye to any free time if you get the attention of a bad supervisor. Remember, you belong to your boss 24/7 now. And to last until retirement, you have to get regularly promoted while surviving in this environment, or you will be forced to leave at the end of your contract. You get the security of that contract for a few years, but it comes with a price. Go for ROTC and a commission.
This is just a bunch of dribble. When you are not deployed, beyond PT, and the occasional duty day - its not much different from walking a 9-5. The pay is fair. Sure at the lower ranks you are getting paid less, but you also have less responsibility and capability. Like in civilian life, your mileage may vary with regard to leadership. Some times we get great ones, sometimes not so much. As for contacts vs. walking away, how many jobs can you walk away from before it impacts your QOL and employability. Grow up, accept your responsibility, do your job, stand your duty and enjoy all the military has to offer.

The military is a fine choice, provided you can do what your told, when your told, and how your told without talking back. The military isn't about individualism, it's about teamwork and accomplishing objectives as part of the unit. So if you are about yourself and being an individual, this isn't for you.
On top of what JT said,, Military pay is low because they house, cloth and feed you. Plus you start at the bottom ranks requiring effort and time in to level up. Includes a pay raise per rank.
