Ground too frozen. Artillery has to dig spades in to a certain degree. If they don't the entire howitzer does that. It's not a good time. Some lazy sections will bare minimum the spades and hope the first round will set the gun, which they'll probably have to re-lay again anyway.

For that 120mm mortar clip, the baseplate wasn't set yet since the ground was so hard I bet they got the gun back up and sent another 4 rounds before going into the actual fires. Hope that helped👍🏼

My senior lance made me write out the 9 line 100 times as "training". Not gonna lie though that same lance also forced me to buy a car from a dealer he had cut a deal with as in he drove me there left me there and said don't come back without a vehicle. Same lance corporal also made me write a letter to another Marines parents basically saying I was the reason they died. Had me rotated on fire watch every night for field exercises. Don't know what his malfunction was but he never broke me.
You go in poor and come out either a homeless veteran or a patriotic himless veteran. Vs. going in rich and staying at a desk job for 8-15yrs and leaving with a pension and a future in politics or the FBI
most confusing first thing that happened at bmt was the MTIs yelling at us to hurry up and we started running and the yelled even louder "NO RUNNING IN THE SQUAD BAY!!!" so we went back to walking and then HURRY UP I SAID!!! fast walking became the norm that day
Those 11c are fine. Sometimes it does that. The round goes quicker than the tube bouncing. It’s scary when the tube moves and then the round goes in the tube.
