Years ago I had the opportunity to ride in the vehicle with the ring mount. In the US Army we called that a "Duce and a half" and we called the Browning M2 "Maw Duce". So it is kinda Duce Squared. 😊 I served during peace time and am not a Veteran at all. I was a reserve soldier and average at best. But that 4 hour trip going over mountain passes in a cab with no heating and a canvas roof is unforgettable.

@mattheide2775 I can believe the unforgettable bit i'v had a ride of less then 5 minutes in a CCKW as my friend was getting it out of the barn but i'v had a ride in a M35 Reo that was magnificent back in late 2017 my other friend Alan Jeffrey's aka big Al was taking it home from Crewe war time weekend so I hoped in and the sound is amazing.

@@andysvehiclehistorychannel That is Awesome. One thing I've learned in life is that you have or haven't experienced something. 👍

@@andysvehiclehistorychannel I was a radio operator and we had 1 ton GMC pickups from the 1980's in my unit. My unit was about as non combat as you could get. We had more officers than enlisted and our job was to plan base clusters during a war in Europe with the Soviets. Real cold war kinda stuff.

@@mattheide2775 I think them GMC's are in the Arma 3 DLC CSLA Iron Curtain they have boxes on the back as if they are mobile radio posts i'v been interested in radio equipment like the British No 19 set in WW2 was it like lison out and write it down and give it to your commander ?
