Nice history and nice brand. Someone in the family still has a small antique square marble Breguet clock on top of an antique cabinet. Waves my 145.012-67 !
English watchmaker John Arnold invented the concept of "Tourbillon" (1793) but Swiss-French Abraham Louis Breguet built the first "Tourbillon" (1795) and patented the concept in 1801. See the pocket chronometer Breguet made & inscribed in honor of John Arnold's son. #chronometer
@@lmlb4439those are nice passions to have as well… I got distracted by the figure coincidence. The 3133 is a very niche one to collect, used in several military issued watches in the USSR from 1976 to 1991.
I dont consider Type XX a real Breguet. It is a marketing exercise at best, using generic watch case, cheaply printed logo on a dial and generic Selita inside. It is not even column wheel chronograph but a lowly lever movement. That watch is a joke. I would have understood if it came from Longines, Tudor or Tissot, but it tarnishes the name of Breguet .
