Do you or your spouses’ have a typical work schedule? Even if you’re not a military couple, I’m really curious about what your typical week looks like!
Hey girl! Love the channel! I’m also a military spouse! And so far we’ve down every two days with sliding weekends, and we’ve also done a schedule while being on a ship which is a little less predictable. We just PCSd so I feel your pain! Sending you good vibes to get through it ! You got this !
I run the Jury Division at our county courthouse, so my life is usually a Monday through Friday kind of job. My hubby's works at a grocery store, so his hours and days off can be ALL OVER the place (working like 5-2, 12-9, or 3:30-12:30) with split days off, and with the whole Corona thing his schedule can switched up without much notice.
Oh my gosh I started crying during your pep talk for yourself! I’ve been so stressed about finding a job at the next base we’ll be at and coordinating housing/the move. I’m putting in all the work I can and then leaving the rest up to God. 💛 thank you for being vulnerable with us! I love your videos.
Hi Cassie! Thank you so much for you kind words 😊It really is all up to Him in the end - what a relief for us! Thank you so much for watching and encouraging. It means so much to me :)
Our schedule is ALL OVER THE PLACE. My husband’s shift is getting changed almost every 2-3 weeks (from mids to nights or nights to days). It’s really hard because he is constantly tired and stressed. But I’m proud of him!!! He usually works 6-7 days in a row, has a week off for “quarantine” and then does it all over again.
My husbands schedule it’s all over the place. He starts and gets off at a different time everyday, but he gets to come home most nights, which is awesome. We’re moving to southern Cali in a month, which is so confusing. I understand how you feel with calling housing and no one picking up🙃 but you’re doing great, Keep it up!
So glad he's home for dinner! That's honestly the best. Don't stress too much about the moving process, it really will work itself out! Thanks for watching :)
Great channel, keep it going girl! Biggest tip for housing and the company is to call them and keep on it. Especially since COVID19. My husband has been in for a while and he's an instructor so it's a different schedule. He typically works Mon-Fri then occasional field weeks and duty days.
I’m a brand new military wife and I just love your perspective. All of the craziness of military life has just pushed me to trust God more and I love hearing you say that it’s all about His plan. That’s like the biggest thing I’m learning with military life. Thanks for the videos!
Thank you so much for watching! I think going through all of this would be so much challenging if I didn’t have God to lean on and find rest in during all this craziness. It’s the biggest lesson I’ve learned too
My husband’s work schedule is all over the place! He’s a Drill Instructor so he’s almost always at work. About every 3rd day he gets to come home for dinner and to sleep and then back by 5am! No such thing as weekends or Holidays for us 😂
Yeah we pretty much have the same schedule, every day except the weekends! Today is Saturday over here and my husband works weird hours on Saturdays, from 2h to 6 or 7h who knows when he's gonna get home hehe
My boyfriend is most likely going to OCS in January so I’m already watching military vlogs hahah love ur channel! subscribed the other day and love the content :)
Ahhhh! How exciting (and probably a little nerve wracking) thank you so much for watching and supporting! OCS is quite the experience to go through together
Aww thank you Maryam! I will say that I'm normally only sharing my productive moments - you guys aren't seeing me veg out and scroll on my phone a lot because I doubt that would be a very entertaining video 😂Thank you so much for watching!
When I'm really stressed and feel like I'm gonna cry I put on music and dance it out for like 10 mins 😅 Joey's PCS plans and schedule has changed like 15 times but ITS ALL GOOD. Lol *Think* were finally in the home stretch, but I've been having a ton of personal apartment dance parties lately 😩🤣
GIRL, I can relate soooo much to the PCS plans chaning 15 times 😂 I'm also 100% going to steal your dance party idea. It'll be a good Grey's Anatomy moment for me if you've seen that show. Hopefully we both only have a couple of dance parties left before everything gets figured out!
@@AllisonMcPhail YES! Grey's moment 100%! We're also roadtripping cross-country next month, but y'all are WAY ahead of us on the destination/route plans and hotel bookings 👀🙈
Hahaha I wish I could say that being organized ahead of time has helped, but so far every hotel reservation we've made has had to be adjusted 😂 you may be making the right choice by waiting a bit longer to figure it all out!
@@AllisonMcPhail I can totally relate to that, I’ve been noticing it I drink coffee past like 2 or 3 in the afternoon that I’m then up all night and can’t fall asleep so I’ve just been trying to stick to my one cup in the morning, but sometimes that’s really hard lol 😂
i noticed that you have a lot of dishes in the kitchen that stress you out:(( i live with my family so i know how dreadful it is when you turn towards the kitchen and its an absolute mess. Our solution: anytime someone uses a plate, spoon or whatever, they put it straight in the dishwasher. as soon as we're done with a meal, I'll put all the dishes we used straight in. That way, when it comes to cleaning the dishes and tidying everything else, it's wayyy less work for us. It's just about adopting that habit. Lemme know if that would work for u.
Can you please make a more in depth video about being a military wife? My husband is joining the military, we will be living on military base with our two kids. How different will our life’s be?
I originally went to OCS as a reserve contract but got dropped for injury and am trying to get back but this time as an active contract. My wife is a nurse and was just curious if you know if it‘ would be easy for my wife to get a job wherever we would be stationed? Not sure if I missed but what’s is your husbands MOS?
It should be easy! I’ve heard from people that getting hired at the base hospital is nearly impossible - they’re a third party contracted to work for the military and usually have their own hiring process. Her best bet would be to apply at a local hospital in the city near where you’re stationed! My husbands not a big fan of sharing everything with the internet so I don’t share what his MOS is - thanks for understand and best of luck with another round of OCS!
He doesn't want a ton of info about the specifics of his work online - thank you in advance for understanding :) and at this point I don't think I would know what to do if his schedule was "normal" i barely know what day of the week it is most of the time because it's all over the place
How do you know who to contact and what to ask to get answers when dealing with military related things? I know very little about the military and I feel like I would be stressed trying to figure this out
Google is my best friend! And if I can’t find the answer I need online, my husband will either know the answer or be able to talk to someone at work to figure it out. He’ll ask his peers first, and if they don’t know he’ll go up his chain of command to get the info we need! Some moments can be really stressful, but it’s never too much to manage 😊
Oh Marisol, I'm so sorry! We're going to get through this together! I'll be saying my goodbye's soon too. It's really going to fly by for you guys - trust me!
Allison McPhail Oh and that’s not even the worst part! I live in California and his training and school is going to take place in San Diego but I’m moving allll the way to Texas in September when he’s in bootcamp 😐😐 (closer to Louisiana than New Mexico!) we will also have a 2 hour time difference ):
My fiancé left for marine boot camp August 2nd and it’s definitely really tuff bc I lived with him and his parents and now I have to move home with my family so it’s really hard.
