So let me get this straight. There were 3 songs out ("Too Hot" by Coolio, "Dom Perignon" by Little Shawn and "Where The Party At?" by Milkbone) on Radio around 94/95. All had the same main Sample... ("Too Hot" by Kool And The Gang)... And two of them had the same secondary Sample ("Party And Bullshit" by The Notorious BIG)... This can't have been a coincidence...? Not in the slightest.
life is short,me and ma friends used to mime to this in junior high, rap music will never be the same again, back then it used to be so colorful, now its all dark and murky!
It came out wen I was Junior High in Ghana,it was both a club banger and had lots of airplay, those days were the best times in hiphop, some call it the 90's
you can't compare eminem and milkbone. 2 different eras in hiphop But both made raphistory in their own ways. Remember: This was back in 1994: rap was just different back then. It wasnt just about punchlines, it was also about the REALNESS. (Remember Grouphome?) I give milkbone mad props because he was one of the first white cats to really build his reputation on REAL rap skillz. PLUS he knew how to show love to everybody. His album was a straight classic. Thats why he's got my respect.
@@kyleedwards6310 You got to remember Em was damn near 30 when the Slim shady lp was officially released the album he did before that came out around this time that was independent.Same era Em just came out officially later.Hell he was prob. in Jersey at this time with the Outsiders.
The best thing about this jam is Milkbone never tried to be a white rapper! He just showed he had flow. A real rapper,Two great rap hits! Keep it real and Where the party at, I played both of these jams to death, Where the party at used to rock the dance floor when I played it at parties when I DJayed. Everybody asked who is that? and that's the Jam! Peace Milkbone and thanks for the classics.
Was Biggie really on the album or did they just sampled Biggie’s voice??? I always wondered cause I wanted to cop the album but never got around to it due to the fact that it was overshadowed by Nas,Wu-tang Clan,Mobb Deep,Jay-Z,Naughty By Nature,Tupac,Black Moon,Smif N Wesson,Redman,Snoop,Dr.Dre,Bone Thugs and Harmony,Fugees,Busta Rhymes and so many other’s at that time. Still it was a great year in Hip-Hop. Wish I could go back and relive it all over again.
Eminem was the real hardcore lyricist with shock value controversy but Miilkbones sound sounds way more hood and apparently he did grow up in the hood, this dudes mad underrated as good as he is I literally only found him out cus Eminem dissed him damn he mad underrated.
i remember buyin this single in high school, i aint gonna front..kool and the gang sample is what got me.he wasnt a bad rapper...to be objective, fuck what marshall says..
@pete1rocks HaHa! You're right. Katz used to mistake this spot for SOB's back in the day. SOB's was and still is a dope spot for Hip Hop though. I miss the golden era.
soy peruano y digo que eminem no iguala esta shiiiiiiitttt !! .. TRUE HIP HOP sencillo simple .. elegante .. real unisexxx ... real party shitt ! milkbone is better than eminem .. his famous cuz is homie of dr.dre and all west rappers .. well yes his good rappin' but milkbone is all good !! fo real
Milkbone is to Eminem just like Jesse Jackson was to Barrack Obama. Hip hop, just like America wasn't ready. Both Milkbone and Jesse cussing up a storm lol.
@ KillaBeesOnDaSwarm LOL i feel u brotha. Lets not give Massa Marshall, I mean Marshall Mathers anymore attention then he already gets. You know with him being the GREATEST RAPPER EVER.
@gbarassi bajo ese punto tienes la razon el beat es identico lo que en si es un plagio enorme debio haber hecho alggo mejor pero el tema en si no es tan malo tiene ese sonido noventero clasico como la version antigua pero mal por el beat
Thomas Wlodarczyk, better known Miilkbone, is an American rapper. An affiliate of Naughty by Nature, Miilkbone signed a record deal with Capitol Records in 1994 and released his debut album, Da' Miilkrate on June 21, 1995. The album featured two singles, "Keep It Real" and "Where'z da Party At?", both of which became minor hits on the rap charts. After a four year hiatus, Miilkbone resurfaced in 1999, appearing on Death Row Records' Chronic 2000 compilation. Two years later, he released his second and final album, U Got Miilk? through Lightyear Entertainment.[1] In March 2014 Miilkbone announced that he had begun working on his third studio album The Voice of Reason. The album will be released during 2014. It will feature guest appearances by Chino XL, Black Rob, Fred The Godson, Uncle Murda, and other artists that have yet to be revealed.
