Mill Stone that came from the Mill in Mill Cove, NS
In 1792 James Jollimore lived in Birchy Head and applied for a land grant in Broad Cove with promise to upgrade the land. He did built a mill there and as time went on, the community was being referred to by more and more young people as Mill Cove, because of the mill. The last reference to Broad Cove that I could find at the Public Archives of Nova Scotia was in 1875. Now it's called Mill Cove by everyone.
The mill was up halfway between the beach between and the 329.
