I followed the make-up artist drama *religiously.* I watched every video that hit my FYP to the point that it took over my algorithm for like a week. The one thing that stood out to me is her obsession with the word "content." About the pregnant mistress, I was under the impression that the bride already knew, which is why nobody was phased when she showed up. Personally, it felt more like the mistress was trying to embarrass the bride/groom than let the bride know (she could have told the bride any other time but decided to do it during the wedding ceremony). But it is just one video so I guess we'll never know!

The cake smashing stuff is one of the most nonsensical wedding traditions. Instead of eating this expensive and intricately crafted wedding cake, let’s get it all over our clothes (that costs hundreds to thousands of dollars) and ruin the bride’s hair and makeup (that probably also costed hundreds of dollars if they hired a stylist and mua). Maybe it’s just me but it’s not funny. I think food fights are only fun to children and even as a kid I didn’t like them. If I get frosting in my eye, the marriage will be over before the reception ends.
My mother-in-law wore white to our Handfasting/Wedding (I've never seen her wear white in the 10+ years I'd known her) - she didn't know my dress was Black though 🤣 I give her props for trying though. And my sis (maid of honour) turned up 2hrs late to getting ready so not only did she make the ceremony late, but I did my own make-up, got everything organised, and she decided (with prior notice NOT to) stayed the wedding night at my house (we had the reception at a beach house we rented). So many other things happened- but my husband and I chose to not focus on any of it and moved state. We are now 7yrs happily married Xx

I work at a wedding planning company as a server, clean up, crew, rentals, and wedding planner assistant. A lot of what I do is being told what to do by someone else, and I’m more than fine with that. I have no desire to man a wedding myself dear god. With all the money people spend with us for their big day, that’s too much pressure. Luckily there haven’t been any horror stories yet, but I know my time is coming to watch someone completely break down or something.

I told her how beautiful she looks, memorised her drink order so she wouldn’t have to ask for a new drink and made sure she had water in between so she wouldn’t be sick from drinking the next day. This is what absolutely gets me riled up, not wearing white is a part of western culture. In other cultures there would be things that they find rude that Westerners wouldn't even think of. White is the bride's colour, it's not even necessarily about someone mistaking a guest for someone else but rather white being the known special colour for the bride. By wearing white you are essentially saying "I want this wedding to be about me".

I still remember when that Taylor swift wedding incident happened and it showed how many people lack empathy, reading comprehension and common sense. Empathy - The amount of people bragging that they would do the same to their friend because xyz artist is just SO important to them. Comprehension- the amount of people using if the bridesmaid knew about the wedding before the concert when they say in the video that she already knew about the wedding long before the concert dates were announced. Common sense - Even if she had known about the TS concert before the wedding, she is still in the wrong because she agreed to be a bridesmaid. And the amount of people justifying it with "Oh well in Australia we NEVER get global artists" and the wedding incident happened in Sydney where global artists go all the time.

From what I understood, its pretty common and acceptable for MOG / MOB to wear silver or champagne with a matronly cut dress/silhouette. The whole point is no one would confuse her for the bride, she that lady seems to be different enough? Also, the “multiple of ladies” the clip before have the same dress backing. So maybe they were bridesmaids and the bride and groom decided them to also wear white?
