You work in retail thats too much credit ease up on it just a little bit and back slap them with the fake attitude of giving a fuck about them while talking shit about them as soon as they leave. They're offended? Please we both know they're gonna spend money there no matter how many times we call them an idiot and even if they don't its okay 10 more people are gonna come in too take their place in the next 5 seconds -the retail guy
...this may be a stupid question, but... What the heck is a charcuterie board? I see an 8' plank, and I think of all the home repairs and shop projects that can be done with it, not what kind of frou-frou crafts can be made with it.
@@HbpBde *blinks* Basically a cold platter. Man, if you're gonna make a fancy cutting board to hold cold cuts, at least piece it in a nice pattern and stain it. XD
We kinda had that, we all complained we didn’t learn anything useful and they gave us home room with classes in credit cards and taxes but no one cared enough to listen or teach it
As a millennial that grew up doing house projects with my dad, I genuinely feel sorry for my peers whose parents did not take the time to show them the basics of life. I've had to teach my friends so many things about basic home maintenance that I've known most of my life.
This is relatable because I'm a millennial and was literally at Home Depot like a month-and-a-half ago, and the sales guy helped me for like 45 minutes figure out which screws, anchors, and nails to get for my home projects and how to hang up wall decor properly. It's real out here! But at least I tried and I asked for help, and learned. I just figured that buying things randomly from Amazon and scouring RU-vid videos wasn't going to cut it this time LOL! I'm so glad I went in because he was really helpful and it was time well spent! 😁
Diana D it’s his version of shopping, not gonna day you do it but it’s the guys version of you guys shopping. Give me a foot locker, Best Buy, and Home Depot and I’d be in heaven
I worked with several millennials in a boutique just after it had been remodeled. I went to use the water cooler and they explained that it did not work. One day, I just asked, why is it here if it doesn't work? Well apparently the construction guys had to unplug it and they could not figure out how to plug it back in, yeah. I am NOT a millennial so I really felt like a hero that day after I figured out how to 'fix' the 'broken" water cooler. This is not a joke, I am not making this up.
@@dlikescheese like i'm always embarressed about filming in front of people. He doesnt have anything to be embaressed about at all. But some people would be embarressed so im glad he isnt.
Lmao me n my husband had this convo the other day, i was unaware of that. The actual measurements dont roll off the tongue very well. Could you imagine going to a store and being like " yeaa uhh where's your 1 and 7/16ths × 3 and 3/4s?" (I dont remember the actual measurements)
2 x 4 piece of wood lol. That part was so funny. I’m a 14 year old girl and only know that because of the few times I went to the hardware store with my dad lol
As someone who is “technically” a millennial, but also actually makes things....I’ve seen this at Home Depot before and its spot on. Don’t understand it, but it’s spot on. Well played
You know it's funny, I and a few of my friends who are technically in the in-between of Gen-Z and Millennial generations, are into making things yourself, sewing, woodworking, DYI plumbing, and furniture restorations within reason. I even know a guy younger than me who worked at Home Depot and was in charge of scheduling timetables. At one point he chastised the company for poor decisions making in regards to how they would set up future schedules.
They were too kind and tolerant and understanding, for sure! And wanted you to like them and think of them as your friend. Did not serve your generation.
@@hedgehog8776 he’s not wrong. I’m genX and I can attest that my generation have absolutely been the worst parents ever. That’s partially due to needing now two incomes to even qualify for a mortgage (in my country) so absentee parents make it up to their kids by just buying them stuff instead of teaching them stuff. Zero quality time together and because parents have no time they just bribe their kids. I’ve watched my friends not being there for their kids due to work and I pretty much decided from it to not have any kids myself. And yes parents are responsible for how their kids turn out. It doesn’t mean that people aren’t responsible for their own actions but young adults are 100% the signature of their parents.
"I know you're at work, you work everyday, just take 5 mins to help me" Bruh to me this the realest part...i get it but they think work be more important than the seed they had pleasure in creating
During quarantine I have learned how to build with an electric drill and I made a food garden. These are all new for me. I'm a millennial. Now I understand why Home Depot is awesome! lol I have built a puppet stage, dollhouse, and fixtures for my garden. :)

In an argument years ago about rug sizes not being exact and how frustrating that was to me, my husband blew my mind when he told me a 2x4 measured 1½ x 3½! 🙄
Omg when you were talking about the ‘two by four’ it reminded me so much of the two ronnies “four candles” sketch. Give it a watch if you haven’t already 🤣
