@@TheOGgUeRiLlaMoDeso, she couldn’t speak or hear, so move your body. “Talk with your hips”, how else would you communicate. In poor taste. Yeah. Insensitive? Oh yeah. A memorable lyric? Absolutely.
I am stuck in this era, not going to lie, so many of these are still on my active playlist. Also, Jojo is still very much making music and she is even more amazing now. Saw her live recently, she is phenomenal and needs more recognition!!!!!!
Awe yes Closing time! A classic. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here lol Jojo is awesome too 👏 I used to work at Supercuts back in the day and ppl would come right at closing nocking on the door. 😩
"He was like the Disney version of Justin Timberlake" Justin Timberlake was the Disney version of Justin Timberlake. He literally got his start on Disney.
Young Millenial here (1995) and I remember most of these so vividly. I’ve still got Right Now (Na Na Na) and Leave (Get Out) in my iTunes library and still listen to One Time with dance moves and everything 😂 good times 🥹
I'm not forgetting about JoJo especially with all she went through with her label, how long it took her to get out, did her own thing, and won a Grammy!
One of my favourite shows ever. They should make a REACT video on One Tree Hill. Also idk if you know this but the cast have always wanted to make a new season but because of who owns the rights to that show…they aren’t able too which is sad 😞
Donttrustme has one of the best lines ever "tell your boyfriend, if he says he's got beef, that I'm a vegetarian, and I ain't f*cking scared of him!" Lol
"I said shush girl (problematic) shut your lips (entirely) do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips" had me rollin... Also im definitely those two with every song, especially izzy( i think thats her name) with leave (get out)
@@chocoyote i'd be there to party with her nonstop lol she's prob not like this all the time tho y'know that fun friend to hangout with? that's probably her
When they said that Jesse McCartney is the Disney version of Justin Timberlake….I’m sorry but Justin Timberlake literally got his start on Disney so… 😂
Fun fact: Orianthi was a prodigy of Steve Vai (yeah, that guy who helped reframe the Halo theme in Halo 2, and ya know... made epic ass music for 30 years before). I wish she took off more. Hella talent.
God, I remember that moment in music history. Ashlee Simpson, if I remember correctly, had laryngitis really bad during that performance, and in fact, it was featured on her reality show that she had damaged vocal chords. And in regards to her certain affectation when she sings "Pieces of Me," all the pop stars of that time had it. Listen to any Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears song from the late 90s up to that era.
"He's the Disney version of Justin Timberlake" there's irony in that comment because Justin Timberlake is the Disney version of Justin Timberlake he was on The Mickey mouse club in the 90s
I'm 1000% behind Izzy. Leave (Get out) by JoJo is what I listen to every morning in highschool (2017). Honestly a few of these songs are on my Spotify playlist.
Something I really appreciate about this channel is the people reacting to the videos. It's always a great mix of fun people. I do enjoy seeing some of the same faces over the years as well.
Why is Izzy so funny to me? 😂🤣😂🤣. She had me crying with her reaction to Jo Jo’s song by her singing and dancing telling him to “get out right now it’s the end of you and me.”
I have never felt more disconnected as a millenial. I recognized a few of these songs, but the fact that the cast was able share lyrics in rememberance with each other made me feel distant. I have NEVER heard a fraction of these songs, however I enjoy these songs now because it reminds me of my teenage years but I didn't/don't listen to pop music. I will probably have the same reaction 10 years from now. Lol
i have all these on my computer and actively listen to them all the time. cant fool me with any "forgotten" music. i have everything from 1950 til now. bands yall never even HEARD of!
Some other songs that were not mentioned: Augustana - Boston, Stars and Boulevards Plain White Ts - Hey there Delilah Jet - Look What You've Done Switchfoot - Dare You to Move The Calling - Wherever You Will Go
How did they skip mentioning that the Cupid's Chokehold video featured a cameo by Katy Perry, who Travie McCoy was dating at the time and was just starting her career?
I listened to the radio - rock and alternative stations. So I heard the Lifehouse song and the Counting Crows song. Never heard any of the other ones ever (I've never heard of most of the artists, either).
11:06 "he was the Disney version of Justin Timberlake." I'm sorry but Justin Timberlake was a Mouseketeer. Justin Timberlake is the Disney version of Justin Timberlake.
I know JoJo best for her 2004 song "Leave(Get Out)" because that song was played a lot during my 8th grade second semester & high school freshman year first semester. Plus, we're the same age(just a month apart) & she was in the 2006 comedy film RV starring alongside actress Cheryl Hines & the great Robin Williams. "Me Love" by Sean Kingston is one of his songs I never heard before & still haven't, though I know about his other songs such as "Fire Burning," "Beautiful Girls" & my favorite song of his from Summer 2013, "Beat It," which features Chris Brown & Wiz Khalifa. I became a fan of LifeHouse because of the song "You & Me" due to it being played on an episode of Smallville during the high school prom scene. I never heard of the song "Hanging By A Moment." "One Time" by Justin Bieber was my introduction to him. He was 15, while I was 19 & starting my very first college semester. Orianthi had a good song & good guitar skills, but it's too bad that was the first & last song that I ever heard from her. I wasn't familiar nor was into Jesse McCartney's music, but I only knew him from being in the WB teen drama series Summerland, though I didn't watch it.
She just said that Jesse McCartney was like the disney version of Justin Timberlake but apparently she doesnt realize that Disney was where Justin got his start from too. lol
Corinne Bailey Rae's Breathless is less well known but one of my favourites of hers, same with Like a Star. Y'all know she was at Glastonbury this year right? She's hardly forgotten. Glastonbury's total attendance was 210,000 people, at least a few were there for her.
