I had no clue that she is actually a person with disability, and it wasn't acting. That's amazing!! What a positive role model she is! I hope she will inspire many many people, especially children, to reach out for their dreams! Kudos to the film crew also for going with her, and not getting an actress to act this out. My best wishes for her! Loads of love from Bangladesh! :)

@Isabella Gourdin, hello. Disability is a limitation of function because of impairment. People who are deaf experience limitation due to hearing impairment, therefore it is a disability. I have had the opportunity to work in partnership with ADD International in Bangladesh, so I can assure you that "disability" is not a disrespectful thing to say. I know it's sometimes interpreted that way by the masses. But those of us who work with that issue, disability is the proper way to describe people with any limitation of functionality due to any kind of impairment. Even people wearing glasses have a disability, as they are visually impaired to an extent when not wearing them, but they are people with mild disability. Peace :)

@@erika662, hello there. Again, I want to mention that the word "disability" is seen as a negative word by most people. Disability is not inability. Disability is just a state when a person requires some kind of an assistance for doing things like the people without a disability. In this case, her interpreter. For a person with glasses, the glasses. This is not an argument really. There is a clear definition of disability based on which all these movements happened. Sign language, interpreters, all these assistive things have been put in place to ensure everyone, like this beautiful lady, is able to lead a normal life, and be able to interact with everyone. Some people have been trying to coin a term "differently abled" (I myself have said it before I was educated on this). People actually get offended when you say that cause you're implying they are "different", which they are not! They are perfectly healthy individuals with a lot of untapped potentials, that can be tapped through a few assistive adjustments (again, e.g. the interpreter in this case). Peace and love for all :)

I would RELISH the opportunity to try having even a brief conversation with this girl in ASL! I'm still far from anything approaching fluency in it, but I've become MUCH more comfortable and confident when using it since I first started in 2018. It certainly seemed to take me longer to get to a point I'd call "conversational" in ASL than other languages I've learned over the years, and I'm very often still too shy to try out my ASL with anyone without someone giving me a little "shove" into the "make-or-break" zone :P But when I look at Millicent, she just emanates an overall air of kindness and patience when I watch her. She just seems like... such a NICE person, doesn't she? I feel like if I were to attempt my best ASL to talk to her, even if my best ended up being absolute shite due to nervousness overtaking even the basic ASL abilities I've learned, she'd just smile and try to help me do better without judgment. I mean, she comes across like such a sweet-natured person who probably loves to meet and talk to her fans, especially if they also happen to know ASL. Just a general impression I get.

And also a fun but not so funny fact: Cillian and she actually had a little accident which causes her a broken toe and had to do all the acting with something on her foot.
