I was so blown away by this episode. Then I found out this was her first one she filmed?! The Devil’s Chord was great showing Ncuti and Millie’s chemistry, and Boom was an amazing Ncuti episode. Then we get this immediately after with Millie, and I’m just like… damn. Loving this TARDIS team and this season more and more with each episode. It’s actually kind of insane how good these episodes have been. Depending how the next few episodes go, this might actually be my new favorite season of Who.

@@Sidus666 Yeah that. Thing is the filming for it ran over so he was supposed to be available for this and 73 yards but the overrun meant he couldn’t except for certain scenes. Dot and Bubble worked because the FaceTime stuff could use green screens for the majority. Just a bit of bad luck there. But he’s more available after so should be in the rest of the episodes and season 2 unless they do a Doctorlite on purpose.

Millie was only 18 at the time of filming the episode, and it's unbelievable that the very first scenes she did were for the 'aging' time jump. Couldn't be more amazed with her performance thus far, especially being the main character in 73 Yards.

If I hadn´t known 73 Yards was her first ever Doctor Who episode, I wouldn´t have known but so far I´m enjoying how Millie and Ncuti are performing and I can already tell that they are having a good time filming together and it´s nice to know that they not only make episodes others can enjoy but are also having fun themselves.

tbh, Millie definetly makes the show better in spots where it needs it, definetly the star of the season in my opinion. The Dynamic of her and ncuti are def feeling like classic new-who stuff.

The answer is no we couldn't really tell, Millie, but you are still beautiful and wonderful, you did great. I definitely wish the makeup and hair had been better though, the wigs forehead looked... odd, and the makeup was so minimal it might as well not been there. I hope you look as lovely at that actual age, Millie, but I doubt it! lol People age a lot more than that, cmon Doctor Who makeup artists. She'll still be pretty if you put on some actual age, geez.

@@ohaussyea I’m glad they did the prosthetics but you couldn’t really tell which defeats the purpose. I mean don’t get me wrong this was actually my absolute favorite episode but I did not believe she was 40. Like maybe they could’ve just put a little spattering of crows feet and a couple lines around her mouth or something. I’m not complaining by any means idc if she actually looked 40 because they did a good job of showing how much time passed. But nothing could be worse than the way they did the makeup in Harry Potter to make them look older that was a disaster 😂 so at least it wasn’t like that.

There were people commenting about the lack of effort for the aging - I thought it was really well done and subtle. 40 isn’t grey and wrinkly! Enjoyed the ep whilst it happened, but left too much unexplained. Where did Dr go, why 73….? And so on. There needs to be internal logic. I hope that this is to come.

@@HyperDaveUK The problem is Doctor Who is one of the BBC's most expensive productions. It doesn't matter its position in the chart if the other 19 shows are far cheaper to produce. The BBC have to justify its continued production to the tax payer. You might not know this but the show was going to be cancelled at the end of the Whittaker run because of the low ratings. It was only deal with Disney and RTD's Badwolf productions that saved it. I don't think you realise just how tenuous a position it is in.
