Thanks so much to Luke for sharing my video at the end, top bloke and a good friend! Can’t wait for the truck shows next year with Lucy! Look forward to meeting many of you with the truck 👍🏼 29:37
Hi Luke, been watching you since you started! I’ve finally took the plunge and have my C+E test Thursday with an interview Friday for a family owned general haulage company. Approaching them with a CV face to face worked the trick! I’ve seen so many negative people on social media telling new passes there’s no work out there and to not bother etc… Lovely!
Wow nerves of steel going down those very narrow roads. Well done. Really enjoy your videos. Good luck with your weight loss. I have lost 10st 5 lbs in two years. Motivation is being able to shop In normal shops. Size 28-12 jeans and feel fab. You can do it x
Well done mate. Some of the places we get asked to deliver to are absolutely ridiculous, add in the other road users who seem to think you are driving a mini, and have no patience whatsoever, is enough to drive you barmy.
I love it when people step back when you are turning. Not because you would have hit them, but because you know they are aware of you and they're not going to step forward without paying attention, especially if they are stood looking at their phones.
That was a very good video, Luke. It showed off your driving skills very well, and there was plenty of variety. Nicely done, and thank you for sharing it.
Luke more activity will help with the weight loss. So if you get a decent fold up bike with small wheels. Which comes in a cover, and folds down to a small size. It will fit in the passenger footwell. So when there is the opportunity to on a tacho break, early morning before you set off after a night out (it's a great way to wake up properly before driving) or at a delivery/collection where they keep you waiting. That's the time to get the bike out, & do some exercise, & exploring.
I'm a driver in the US. What I have done is significantly reduce my carbs. I won't say the pounds have melted away but I've lost weight. Keep after it Luke!!
To me if the delivery place cant provide enough room for a truck to easily and safely enter or exit, I would park on the road and tell them to bring their forklift and come and get their delivery, otherwise they can get out there and remove the vehicles or other items that are in the way. If you hit a car even tho they did not ensure enough room guess who will be paying.. Its like half of the places have absolutely no clue how much a room a truck needs.
Had the same delivery to the place on your right when you parked after reversing in a 26t was fun as it has the turning circle of a barge most fun little street ive had well done it isnt easy down there.
Good one there Luke' I saw Daz's video earlier in the week and just wondered if you'd put up one from your side , also if companies want goods delivered to their premises like in your second drop there really has to be a serious effort to stop some of the entitled numbskulls abandoning their expensive crap just where they like. 🤬
Used to do daily parts deliveries to a Mercedes dealership in Sydney. I wouldn't take any more than a 10 pallet truck in there. Too much of a risk for a 12 pallet and even in the 10 pallet I sometimes had to have them move cars. 90° turn with cars both sides was precarious. Then exiting it was very narrow between the gate and parked cars. There was also an awning that my usual truck only barely fit under. Anything higher made it very very snug. On a side note I have no idea how you blokes drive those artics
I haven't got social media and i cant find anything on google about it so i will try here 😂 i just done my class 2 i understand the hour's ect ect but im not always going to be driving maybe once or twice a week the days I'm not driving do i need to enter it in the tachograph still or can i just buy a log book and write down what i have done when im not driving im really stuck on what to do 😂
The beeping could be an audio warning for rhe traction control having to kick in. On scania you can turn the audio warnings off so you only see the light flash on rhe dash but doesnt beep.
I would ignore the expensive Audis, Porches, Range Rovers and BMWs, and make sure you really don't hit the very, very expensive Rolls Royce. The price of one of them would buy all the others in one go🤣. Regarding not relying totally on satnav, I too will ignore the satnav when I know its totally wrong and I know I'm totally correct🤣🤣
Just an observation Luke the letter H is pronounced and written Aich so your sign should read Luke C in An HGV not A. It's the same with Hotel it's a silent H as in an Otel. Just thought I'd mention. Ann ❤
No, the grill beacon works fine. Sometimes it isn’t captured on video, but there because of how video works (pictures taken per second) but yeah they both work
You moan about cyclists going through red lights which I don’t being a cyclist with a class 1 licence, but you don’t moan about lorries and cars pulling into or parking in the cyclist lanes and boxes at said traffic lights 🚦 at 21.07 in this video. Still love the video but come on drivers are just as bad sometimes. And the motorcycle pulling in front of you at the same lights
