I’ve had a couple problems. Main problem is with the throttle cable, so i just bypassed that and went straight to the Kohler engine throttle. That has bent over time from me not pushing it straight or pushing to hard. The lever is available as a part replacement, but i believe i can fashion a structural support for it “beef it up”. I have ordered replacement bearings and blocks, but have not needed to replace yet. Belts are still fine. Kohler engine starts immediately every time

nice looking mill,i just didn't have that much in my budget to purchase , I like the way you cut that lap siding. now I know thankyou very much, all the others I seen cutting lap they had some sort of rig to sit there cant on to cut ,I was watching another man doing a review on a rig like yours but he wasn't very happy,he couldn't cut a square cant his log rest was out of square,i see some crazy stuff on utube,i seen one man put diesel fuel in his water bottle,i was thinking wouldn't that stain his wood, plus a lot say don't put oil on your blade for it will get on the rubber on your drive wheels.in the short time you have had your mill looks like you got a good stock already started up,maybe ill get some material on my page when I get my mill set up.keep up the good work and videos..

Ba'rad 's, the lap siding is just plain ole simple. Didn't want to pay $700 bucks for a jig to cut siding. Maybe if I was in the business and had a much larger mill. I don't put diesel fuel in as lubricant, your right, probably would stain, and that smell, no good for building inside! I just use dish soap. Pine sol if I'm cutting pine or other sticky sap lumber. As far as square cants, I was having a little trouble in the beginning. I just have to make sure the log is all the way up the the log rest. Is that simple. A carpenter's square showed me that it was operator error, lol. My rests are square. Out of square usually happens when I put the first cut face against the rests, and the uncut part is still on the bunk. That's where I've learned to be careful. Thanks for the comment!

William Brainard, I am pleased with it for the money. If I'd had more time to sabe money, I'd have went with a Woodmizer, but that was twice the price. If it's very sufficient for what I want to do. Which is cut wood for my needs only. How do you like the Timbery? That was a brand I looked at. After an adjustment period, I've finally gotten used to it. No blades coming off and a lot straighter cuts.

Moondoggie’s Homestead Journey i am totally pleased with the timbery. i wanted the 23 hp but they had a 16 hp in stock and the truth is it does anything i throw at it. my biggest log was a 26 inch chestnut oak and it had plenty of power. but that size is rare for me to get. usually get logs from 12 inches to 18 inches.only thing i don't care for is lowering of the blade on mine. it doesn't have set knotches at every 1/16 of inch like woodmizer. u just crank it down but i am used to that by now.after me getting bed ext. it was just about same as the reg lt15. i am very happy. truth is its for personal use so the sm26 would have been ok as well. like i said they was out of stock and i wanted it when i wnted it

Hey Southern, going good! Just returned from Appalachia. Been looking for a retirement homestead. I've gotta start video on that search. I double stack the lapsiding. You'd be surprised, it doesn't turn our mold hardly any. I do it that way so it has less movement. Tried both ways, this works better. If there's any stain or whatever, just turn that side in on the wall.

Southern Sawyer 's, No, I got to cross a few places off my list, and will go back and look at a couple more. Was pouring rain, hard to get a decent look at the layout of land in a driving rain :) I'm realizing that I won't be able to check all the boxes without paying a premium for the land. Must haves include; forest service border, water, timber, some open land for animals and garden, enough acreage for all my hobbies and a buffer from neighbors, close proximity to one or more of the following (Appalachian Trail, Great Smokey Mountains, Grayson Highlands, wilderness areas within national forest, trout streams, and close enough to decent shopping for the wife, gotta keep her happy). I'm about to start videoing the search. I have to be careful though, I don't want to do the leg work for someone to buy out from under me.
