Sad that this lady held family pictures, memories etc with such love, but her family didn't care enough to claim them!

A great reminder that you can’t take it all with you, don’t keep it for ungrateful families the young ones are not interested. Scale down through the years it’s very cleansing.

Seriously though, was there a teenager in the early 70s that did NOT have Desiderata (on faux parchment paper) pinned on their bedroom or apartment wall? I am 67 and can still recite it from memory. Also, a suggestion for Jeff, with the most soothing voice ever, you should narrate some classic poetry and/or bedtime stories and save them on an audio file. Your children and grandchildren will treasure them, I am sure of that.

After watching all of this..I just feel sad. But wow, what a life she had! Cheers to her!

I didn't look through all the comments, so this is a comment about the Supreme Court Document and the framed photo of the men and women with it. It piqued my interest so I went looking around. It is a certificate showing James Wilson was basically approved to bring cases before the Court. The man who made the recommendation, Marcus Hollabaugh, became a well-known anti-trust attorney in DC, and his obit states he was a former FBI agent. I'm not a great researcher, but I found out that Wilson graduated from the University of Akron Law School. J. Robert Wilson graduated in 1946, and went on the be the head of Roadway Express. The photo that was with the Supreme Court certificate may be Wilson's law school class. There weren't many in classes closer to WW II. Just some cool history, and I hope you kept the stuff to possibly pass along. I looked up Virginia's obit and it comfirms J.Robert was the head of Roadway. He died before she did. She was also an attorney, keeping her license until her death. You can bet they had a very interesting life.

The more expensive artwork was definitely hidden!! The others may still have value though - if you have someone who looks up artwork. That was the poem "Desiderata" - very popular poem in my teen days (I am 68!)! Quite a mixture of items! Good to see you did get some treasures to offset the cost! Thanks for sharing! Desiderata - a poem by Max Ehrmann. It is lovely. My in-laws and an uncle had it framed hanging in their homes - no, they didn't know each other. Look it up, it is easy to relate to.

Oh my I understand that you are in the business to make a profit and I hope that you do but for me the personal papers and pictures are the treasures in this locker, especially the older stuff. I’d love to have those sort of memories from my mother or grandmother but they both passed early and didn’t leave much behind like this.

She was a amateur painter, who bought a few pieces, plus the family removed her valuables.hope you make a few dollars!

This is the saddest thing to see there is so much history in those pictures. In the long run they will be worth more than any amount of money those boxes could hide. Those are pictures of a one family and can never be replaced once tossed in the garbage… who knows who these people are they cold have can told the history of a future president or who knows the first to travel to mars unfortunately they are only worth something to the family members that rented the storage unit..not the ones that bought the stuff. So say good - bye to the one of a kind pictures of who knows what family’s future and the stories those pictures could tell.

Provenance ~ if you have a tiny piece of nothing… IF you have the STORY and FACTS about that little nothing it can suddenly be worth millions! Facts attached to art or anything is so EPIC!

Art can be worth money it increases with time I bought an Asian artist some years ago for close to 25 $ a few years ago it was worth 75$ and some could be worth so.much more depending on the artist but I am sure you would investigate the worth plus things that may not be worth anything to you could be collectable !!
