Was waiting for this video!! My Tesla supercharger miles also expire this year! Your videos are really good too just in a different way, way more research and I learn so much from them. Re: the mortgage thing, that's exactly what I'm thinking is with the high interest rates I would rather pay it off if I can - but for the Palm Springs house I plan to just keep that locked in low rate!

Really like watching Shelby and Monica’s journey with money. I feel like it’s realistic and they don’t shy away from highlighting their money mistakes. When they first got into their Airbnb business and documented renos, I immediately questioned why they chose to invest in expensive furniture for a rental. They later touched on it as a regret in a future video. Their content is very relatable.

Fun fact, women’s health insurance premiums are so much more expensive than men counterparts because the insurance companies are expecting you to get pregnant at any point (regardless of your health/family planning) 🙃

It's not just that. Women tend to go in way way more often and complain about health issues more often, get more check ups, and more tests, and more of everything. And also they are on so many meds, especially anti depressants and such. They take up WAY more health resources and time. They are a huge drain on healthcare. Ultimately men end up paying more too for them. Females go in for the smallest things, where as men will fall off the roof, have a bone sticking out of their leg, and still try to walk it off and see if it's fine by the next day.

Most people seem to buy property for the capital gain over time, rather than from the income. The income seems to just partly cover costs.

Reason I want to pay off my mortgage is because I have to anyways! They are gonna get that money one way or another. Plus, owning your home gives you security and options for people making sub 500k

Hey Graham, talking about health insurance I can help with that. I have been watching you since I was a teenager. I don't know if you will see this but there are health insurance that are base on your health history so If you're healthy and don't qualify for subsidy. It's the best options available.

Can’t argue that it’s expensive in CA but a lot still stay, especially if your industry is region-specific. Like my husband is in Biotech and most Biotech companies are in the Bay Area and NJ. Limited options for us but we don’t want to live where it snows and so here we are, sucking it up in the Bay Area. Still love it here :))

I does sound like Shelby wants to move back to LA after the Fall 2023. CA is a double hit monthly as she will incur State Income Tax as well as high rent. CA state tax for over 406,365 - 667,276 is 11.3% which will be 56,500 monthly which will be a huge hit if she does move to LA.

First video ive seen but I love how all these financial gurus hate on being debt free. Your theory only makes sense if she never loses her income. You understand how fast an "influencer" or any youtuber for that matter can lose it all? Also, do you understand the freedom of debt free? She wouldn't have to worry about pushing new risks. She would drive her business not her debt.

Graham, I'm sure you DO get it.. high taxes, poor services, too many entitlement programs that don't fix real problems! I lived in CA for 48 years of my life, and moved out.. never to return. Even where I live now, county property taxes are STILL less than half what the nearest modest sized municipality/city charges! Even with commute costs, it's still less expensive.. with better services.. and more freedom from egregious regulations and laws. Imagine being able to pay less than $2K property taxes for nearly an acre parcel with a 4500 s.f. home on it! Nope, can't do that in most of CA. ONLY downside higher humidity.. and a bit colder winters. Yes, Shelby DOES do first rate production work.. just like Brett Cooper does (did you ever help her find a place?).. but these people have TEAMS of helpers in some cases.. and it SHOWS. The better done shows are more crisp and to the point in their posts.. But, so can you.. if you wish to get some staff to help?.. just a thought, anyways.. Love the posts, though.

It's one thing to pay high taxes and get free health care and other expansive government services like in Canada or Sweden... but California is charging insance taxes and appears to not be delivering on anything.
