It is 100% from the policies, money printing and exorbitant taxes (especially the carbon tax). Every time the liberals are in the price of living goes up then it’s up to the conservatives to put everything back on track then a liberal comes in and promises all this “free” stuff and we go through it all again.

But the NDP voters got cheated, because they thought they were voting for a pro-poor party, and didn't realize its leader had sold out for his own benefit. In a worst case scenario, homelessness in a country with brutal weather is frightening. At least in the Philippines, nobody dies of being out in the elements. The prospect of a crash worst than 1929 is not that far. WEF has already communicated such. All past wars/ crashes, societal chaos were forms of RESET. The recent uptick in sudden bank closures, acquisitions are already telltale signs. Not to mention many cases of being locked out by banks.... Something is just not Normal.

We have stiff regulations for just about everything in Canada, except for what our citizens actually spend money on and need. Food and rent. I remember a stat this was around 2020, in order to have what is considered a healthy economy you'd have to freeze the cost of rent and housing for about 20-25 years, for wage inflation to catch up. Unless they change things in a drastic way we are basically on pace for a great depression where Canadians will be forced to leave the inflated rents of cities especially, and seek out smaller towns that offer affordable rent. And when the market dips most likely foreign investment will buy up those vacant and deflated assests.
@MikeTyson-ig4vf
@MikeTyson-ig4vf 7 месяцев назад
Costs are skyrocketing because of mass immigration everyone knows it but isnt allow to say it. Immigrants legal illegal and refugees are a massive burden on our system. BUT everyone listens to business backed sociologists who contrive studies to show that after 7 years they become a net gain which every other study has proven wrong. Price fixing has NEVER worked. Tackle immigration and you solve this issue but canadians are cowards so they would rather delude themselves.

Where is the conservative party getting all its money - $30M in campaign donations? Donations to food banks have declined dramatically. So how is it possible for a party to pretend it cares about affordability while knowing its supporters are rolling in doe? Where do these people get their money to just throw away on a party full of anti-vaccine, anti-mandate and freedom convoy supporters? The conservative party should donate half their campaign funds, at least $15M, to food banks if poilievre is truly concerned about affordability. Rents have increased exponentially and it is not because of PM Trudeau! The provinces haven't enforced rental control combined with an unregulated free market.

How many of the food bank users have the newest iPhone and poor financial restraint? Canadians need financial education and encouragement to not go into debt.

Some of that is true.. but that doesn't even take into consideration the crazy inflation (highest numbers since 1980). Everything has a service charge now. Grocery prices are up at least 25% since covid. Housing cost (mortgages and rental s) have become unaffordable for a large percentage of the public. A new phone and a bit of take out here and there is not costing people the ability to afford housing.

Time for a minimum income law. Properly implemented, it would resolve many of our problems as it would stabilise our economy and create a situation where anyone can improve their lifestyle because they are no longer forced to accept menial jobs just to survive. There is no democracy in our workplace. The large corporations ignore their workers unless faced with strikes. They value and reward their investors more than their workers who actually produce the goods that these investors gamble on. A minimum income would stop the rich from taking advantage of the poor as every individual would not be forced to work to survive. Capitalists would have to pay a decent wage or they would not get any one to work for them. The same would go for working conditions. A minimum income law would be the greatest benefit for the average man as the Magna Carta.
