Leeds fans have always travelled in numbers. During the 80s and 90s up until the ticket limitations came in, Leeds were one of most consistent set of fans for away followers. The top 3 being Man Utd, Liverpool and surprisingly Chelsea were 3rd with an average away support fluctuating between 8,000 to 10,000. Yeah, I was fucking stunned too. Also, one has to take into consideration the amount of unemployment and low income families in the rest of the UK outside of West London.
BULLSHIT I am 48 been Old Den a Few times. Your well over Rated & The Lads who still go all I can say is we had it easy in the 80s. But at least Leeds still turn up you only brought 100 up to Leeds we have more then that in your end at the New Den.
True, My Friend. Congratulations on ( almost certainly ) staying up. Your squad is too good to go down especially compared to Villa and Norwich who seem to have only one hakf decent striker. The 2 recent additions in Bowen and Soucek have helped....
You can tell by a lot of these comments the fans who are jealous of leeds fans support ,when other teams fans only take maybe 50 to 100 on public service trains. It Was a lot worse in 80s & 90s when you could go to away games when we didn't have restrictions .
Love everyone moaning on this making out Leeds are nothing blah blah blah, look at the amount of fans and the amount of police they've had to enforce, don't see that much with any other championship team. M.O.T.
