Took me a while to get use to St Augustine when we moved down to TX from MA. But man...Nothing in the world comes close to a freshly cut St Augustine lawn.
That St Augustine is looking fantastic. And you definitely have a smooth hand edging with that weed eater. Mine would have been all zig zagged. That slow mo at 7:22, you need to have your name attached to that shot. And it sounded like something out of Transformers. Great editing too. I love the circus music at the end. I'm giving this one a 9.6/10.
Thanks bro it means alot! I try and put the work in and keep the St.Aug in shape when time allows me. Yea it took a bit of practice to get the edging down but i think i got it 😎 im glad you enjoyed it! That 9.6/10 really hits home thanks man. 💪
Bro your yard looks incredible. I live in south Texas where the heat and humidity is brutal down here. I just apply ironite and it works alright. Was always curious of using this product on my st auggie. You recommend applying rn? Beginning of June?
I love the way you care for your lawn. It looks awesome. My yard used to look just like that but recently I started utilizing a lawn service due to my own physical inabilities. I am quite upset though, because I truly believe that they may have brought weed seeds from others lawns from their mower. Now my grass is infested with crabgrass and has grown to a point where pre-emergent products do not work. What are your suggestions besides old school pulling with your hands?
Honda’s always seem to have drive problems in one way or another. Either reverse not rolling back like you had or drive stopping completely. My self propelled totally quit working now. Gotta get that fixed one of these days, it sucks mowing with no drive! Oh yeah, first!!
Yea i was reading alot of reviews on this issue with the honda drive system. Luckily i was able to fix mine easy enough. I couldn't imagine trying to push that heavy honda with no drive. Thats beast mode man lol. Hopefully you get it fixed soon, and kudos on first 😉 Thanks for watching bro! Subscribed to your channel 😎
Another awesome video my friend! Loving the flag! Are you liking the results of the milo? Curious because I’ve used it once and couldn’t tell that much difference. Wonder if it takes a few apps to really notice? Love the video, keep’em coming!
Thanks man! Yea i love bio solids they provide great food for the micro organisms to survive a long time, it does take a few heavy applications before you reap the benefits. Ive been using it for about 2 years now, its the only fert i use. Chemical fertilizers are good for a quick boost but bio solid is the long term game. I learned this from LCN. Im always flying my flag 🇺🇸 glad u liked it. Im gona start a project lawn series soon so stay tuned my friend. Thanks for watching!
Have you used the sunjoe dethatcher and scarifier on you st aug yet I see they use it on Bermuda but not a lot of info on st aug grass your lawn looks great I’m doing a a lawn renew on a friends yard because it’s full of weeds and looks horrible can you help with ideas to get it to grow and look better thx again
Hi thanks for watching. I wouldn't use a dethatcher on St.Aug because of the way it grows, by stolons a vine type of growth. They make liquid products that dethatch the canvas just for applications like this. One is called dethatch. You can airate St.Aug with a machine and pull cores to losen the soil and promote growth. Honestly the best thing you can do is use a good weed and feed, water and mow it twice a week. The more times you take cut the grass it will cause the plant to grow laterally other than vertical. In turn will make for a thick weed free lawn. Hope this helps.
Florida Lawns Gm bro What other products do you recommend also Can a scarifier help in any way to open the soil any sorry For all these questions I’m brand new to this so I’m learning as I go
@@lejend69 Gm. No problem thats how we learn bro ask all the questions you want 😎. For the weed and feed i would use sunniland with Atrazine you can buy it at Lowe's. For the dethatch i would look into liquid dethatch of any kind. If you have a buildup of dead material on the soil. You want the soil to breathe. After a month i would apply sunniland all natural fertilizer or milorganite. Water and cut regularly thats a really good start. When you start feeling more comfortable with things i would move onto spraying weeds with herbicide like Atrazine i have a video on herbicide. I definitely wouldn't use a scarifier it will do more harm than good to a St.Aug lawn. But you can use it in bare dirt spots to losen the soil for the St.Aug to run and grow.
Ok ok got you most of my weeds are dead now did a spray weeks ago just need to move on to the next step thx for the lesson bro much respect and as I said before your grass is fantastic 💪🏽💪🏽
I usually apply it by the bag rate in accordance with the sq ft of the lawn. In Florida it says 1 bag of milorganite will cover 5k sg ft. My front yard is 2500 so i use half the bag to get the recommended weight. It takes some calculations forsure when you go lower sq ft. So milorganite is 32 lb bag thats 16 lbs for 2500 sq ft half of that is 1250 at 8lbs half of that is 625 at 4lbs and so on. I would say trow down 5lbs and you will be good to go if your in Florida. But milorganite is goof proof because it doesn't burn the lawn so you have some fudge factor. Hope this helps.
@@floridalawns509 will try that. Trying to grow some patches of St Augustine here in Tx , heard this 6-4-0 Milogranite will help out hoping to see results soon. Thanks pal.
@@imthatguy6129 no problem yea milorganite and sunniland all natural are really good fertilizer because they are made from bio solids so its full of microbes that help feed the soil also! Most other fertilizers are synthetic and do very little for the soil.
Hello Jorge! Thanks for the question. Typically there is no need to water in bio solids. i.e milorganite. Its organic and will not burn the lawn. But watering it in will help it break down for faster uptake and results.
