Milt Neil - Walt Disney Animator - Howdy Doody - Animation - Milton Bradley 

Milt, was amazing to sit with and just speak about his Disney, golf and life experiences. I was fortunate to know him over the last 10 or so years of his life. Great man!

Thanks for uploading this again - with the audio, this time. I was part of the first animation class at JKS in which Milt was my teacher. Incredible talent, incredible man. RIP Milt.

I just learned a heck of a lot!

I met Milt Neil when I was 17 yrs. old at a local function where Mr. Neil was speaking. I wanted to meet a Disney Animator who could recommend a College or University that majored in animation since I was submitting applications to colleges at the time. Milt was very cordial and very informative. He suggested I apply to Pratt Institute, his Alma Mater. I was so grateful at the time. I did apply, and was accepted. I graduated from Pratt with a Fine Arts degree in Film, and now, 38-years later, I've had a successful career. I worked as an Animator, Animation Cameraman, Optical Effects Cameraman, and VFX Cameraman. I am presently a VFX Producer in Los Angeles, CA., and owe a great deal to Milt Neil for pointing me in the right direction when I needed it the most.

What a shame this doesn't exist in better quality. I'm pretty sure I was in the room when he did that demonstration with the football player. We had just purchased a video camera that year for pencil testing and I remember him using it to do demonstrations. Not positive I was there but he did that for my class as well. He was a good enough guy but was really only kind to anyone who wanted to do classic Disney animation. you wanted Warner Bros.? Ooo you were evil.

My father once told me that he and Milt Neil were roommates at Pratt Institute in New York long ago. He also told me a story regarding a portrait that he helped finish with Milt of a US Presidents wife that delivered in a snowstorm in an open roof car. He told me the picture hangs in a museum in NYC. I think it was Mrs. Roosevelt. does anyone know anymore. My father is deceased and i would love to see the portrait.
