Milton Glaser is one of my heroes! He was my biggest inspiration for going into graphic design in my 20s. I am so happy to have studied with him at the School of Visual Arts in NYC in the 80s! His words and wisdom ring just as true for me today. RIP Milton!
Mr. Glaser seems to have a much better grasp of what the world and design is than nearly everyone I've listened to. Age really does teach perspective. So much humility and wisdom.
RIP: Milton Glaser, the noted genius American graphic designer who, including among many other things, assisted in the designing of the refashioned Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center; Windows on the World restaurant atop the World Trade Center; The Big Kitchen food court on the concourse level of the World Trade Center; and, Aurora, all extraordinary and innovative restaurants in New York City, the restaurant capital of the world.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this interview. Milton Glaser's insights about utilizing technology for printmaking and the speed at which we can produce prints as it pertains to economics really resonates with me. He just oozes integrity. Thank you Jonathan.
Fantastic! I’m interviewing him this morning for my podcast. Yours was very done and after countless interviews and talks from him that I’ve observed, it was still informative. Cheers!
if there is one thing that has made me a better graphic designer and artist is that milton when i had him as a teacher in visual arts about 47 years ago is that we should never stop drawing he was right and i have told young people the same thing thank milton carl berkowitz
Milton is going to sign my original Bob Dylan poster he requires people to donate $25 to the Red Cross or other organizations, he seems like he's a kind gentleman
why are there no books, essays on his philosophy of life. Nor a TED talk. I would love to have worked for him. Is there a way to print out his transcript?
